Game Theory down. A really intriguing listen, with some great sound design! Definitely whets the appetite for Telepresence, and you can't ask for more really.

Telepresence was good too. Again, intriguing and it’s building the threat up pretty well. I’m looking forward to the Cybermen finally appearing.

Once again, UNIT lives up to the promise of "four epic full cast audio adventures." I was going to talk about it being my favourite box-set range, along with Doom Coalition - but then I remembered all the other box-set ranges.
I need a life.

Big Finish is really showing how four episodes can be perfect for an "epic-length single adventure", aren't they? Not too long and not too short.

I think the shorter running lengths in Cyber Reality are helping so far. It’s not too long, where maybe the other sets have suffered slightly, but it’s not too short to feel short changed.

Kate’s got an encounter with a pre-War Master to lol forward to. He recognised her and said that like her father, she wasn’t able to shoot him.

Cyber-Reality actually has the third longest running time in the series so far only being beat by Encounters and Assembled. It's pretty average New Series UNIT length wise.

The pacing was really good though. A stand alone episode, followed by another stand alone leading into the two part finale (like how Utopia led into Sound of Drums and Last of the Time Lords). Tweak the episode order around, it's a nice balance between the four story epics and the stand alone anthology releases like Encounters. Looking forward to the two feature length stories next set.

The pacing of the first two episodes was certainly really good. I didn’t realise Encounters was the longest; again, the pacing on that is really good. Helps that they’re standalone too.

I haven't gotten around to listening yet and I don't get around to it for a while, so I can say nothing for the pacing or anything.

I’ve not got a great deal to say about Code Silver. It’s... lacklustre, I guess. The Cybermen arrive - and are clearly not the Cybermen that are on the cover - and don’t do a great deal. The intriguing concepts in the first two episodes don’t really go anywhere; I feel like I know little about the alternate world they’re in.

Master of Worlds was a frustrating listen for me. The Master, whilst fun, is an unnecessary addition. Just a couple of tweaks and his role could’ve been given to one of the main cast. I liked his little catty spat with Kate at the very beginning though.
The Cybermen do nothing. Not only are they not the Cybermen on the cover, but the set is also clearly pre-Dark Water, so it’s not the “round two” the news piece for Cyber Reality states either.
A good and intriguing first two episodes that amount to very little overall. It’s a shame. I do enjoy the UNIT range, what they sometimes lack in character (one of the negatives to having such an in demand main cast), they make up for in being good fun on the whole. Cyber Reality just didn’t really do it for me overall, sadly. I think I’d have preferred the final half to have been much more of a thriller, with just the main cast and the Cybermen, and really delved into the parallel world, based on the intrigue we're given in the first two episodes.
The next set comprising of two 2 part stories is promising!

Cyber Reality is supposed to be round two for Kate, which is what the news piece stated. However, it’s clearly pre-Dark Water.

This was all right, but it wasn't my favorite UNIT story. I just spent the first two episodes waiting for the Cybermen and the Master to show up. The Auctioneers already had a box set, and they weren't that interesting in Encounters anyway. Once the Cybermen showed up, it was pretty good though. I wonder what the Master was doing in a parallel universe. Maybe we'll find out in River Season 5.

I enjoyed that. Telepresence played with interesting concepts, Code Silver a fairly-straightforward UNIT vs Cybermen runaround with an interesting dynamic between the Controller and Osgood and Master of Worlds had some nice interplay between UNIT and the Master.
A decent set all round, which also leaves more gaps for Derek Jacobi's Master. How exactly did he get stuck in a parallel universe? To be answered in River Song 5 perhaps?

Am I right in saying that despite being described as a boxset (i.e. each disc has its own case) on the BF website, the physical product is actually a jewel case?

All the UNIT sets comprise of 4 individual cases, housed in a slipcase.
