Confused here, on the product page it says: "This release is Download only - it is also available on Download or CD as part of the release Sherlock Holmes - The Master of Blackstone Grange."
Apologies if I am being stupid, but can anyone confirm for definite what that sentence means, how can it be both download only and available on Download or CD - the product page appears to say both in the one sentence!
I +think+ it means it is only available individually as download but will be available on CD as one of the three CDs in the Master of Blackstone box set, but it's not very clear (to me at least) that this is indeed what they mean. If that is the case, what is the incentive to pre-order before Christmas, other than getting early access to a download I would get access to in March anyway if I pre-ordered the CDs in, say, February?
Or, coming at it from another angle, is the Fleet Street Transparency part of the Master of Blackstone Grange, or is it something separate that you have to buy separately and the advantage of pre-ordering before Christmas is that you get it free rather than having to pay separately?
Any help much appreciated

Really enjoyed this. Sherlock comes up against the power of the press, and has plenty of pleasingly pithy proclamations (almost worthy of Henry Gordon Jago himself, that) to make about the occupation. Throw in the possibility of a Christmas ghost story, more than a nod to HG Wells and Sherlock's usual uncanny knack of knowing everything, and the result is enjoyably strange. Compared to the box-sets of late, this is a slightly lighter, standalone tale - but not as light as it sometimes seems.
At first I wasn't sure how I felt about Kemp and the revelation that accompanied him, but Sherlock's previous encounters with the like of Dracula, Dorian Grey, even Doctor Who, convinced me simply sit back and enjoy the show. And so I did! Great fun.

And is this an intro for a series with doctor kemp? but anyone who enjoyed the recent HG wells releases, this I a good one to get even if you are not that keen on Holmes. i will say no more for fear of spoilers...... good fun xmas tale, shame it was released after Xmas, but it the season of good will....hehehe and makes me realise just what a missed opportunity not do an xmas jago n lightfoot tale......grrrrrr a good buy for the very reasonable price......everyone should buy it.

I think I prefer my Sherlock Holmes based in the more rational than the Sci-fi. I wasn’t 100% convinced by the last boxset because of similar concerns.
Having said that I thought that All Consuming Fire was great fun, but then I consider that a “side step” rather than a true Conan Doyle style adventure.
And now onto
**** SPOILERS ****
Is Kemp meant to be linked to Thrale? I really didn’t understand that ending.
I have all the Big Finish Sherlock Holmes stories, so I do I need to start a re-listen?

Can't really get into this. Sadly I feel Briggs is miscast as Holmes.

...because he doesn't get to EXTERMINATE anyone?
Myself, I like Nick's take on Holmes.

I'm a fan of the Big Finish Holmes team, but I'm not entirely fond of their drifts into the fantastic.

Yeah, I will admit that I'm also one who would rather keep Holmes as a real-world analytical observomaniac and leave out the sci-fi or supernatural.
