Hamill could also be doing more flashbacks to the Jedi Academy days, since Star Wars movies do flashbacks now.

So 2014 (in my head its in a stilt-house) Abrams and Johnson meet.
"Some ideas for you Ryan but you can do what want"
Ryan eats the notes in order to reduce his Carbon Footprint
"Thanks but this is what I'll do"
So Finn becomes almost a Human C3-PO
Po the Human's in line to be the next Han (but only after getting slapped and demoted by Leia for doing what they do in Every Star Wars space battle that's gone before, when Leia becomes injured, he's come with a plan B of Every Star Wars sabotage the ship/base from the inside as "comically" as possible by Finn, but wait Leia's been replaced by Purple Haired Lady we've never seen who vetoes Po's cause she's got a better one but she's not telling, Po's plan presses ahead (so anyone involved is technically a traitor) Leia recovers, Force slams Po unconscious, evacuates the ship, so Purple Hair can carry out her plan, (after remarking to Leia that Po "has done and will do the Resistance Proud)". The Secret plan a Suicide crash into the Enemy ship, as per Every Star Wars space battle.
Leia herself Force Flies through space (the most impressive ability to date by the least adapt user then later the Force slam.)
Chewbacca
Busts the Door in, tries to get Luke off his backside, has a little Wake/Feast for Han and its back to the fray in the Falcon's Co-Polit Seat. Luke/Ray/Kylo/Snooke
So a key plot in The Force Awakens was to find Luke
Well he's found and his completely not bothered that the universe has gone West, we get the backstory, "He might've gone Dark, so I tried to kill him, he did go Dark so I was Right to try and kill him."
But the Yoda scene and Force protecting himself across the galaxy just to give Kylo the middle finger were cool.
Ray
She was lead in Force Awakens so for this film she:
Does a bit of DIY Jedi training
Endures a awkward bit of mental Seduction
Gets told there's nothing interesting about her other than the fact she can use the Force but that's enough.
Kylo
Just a Parody of Vader and certain Real life figures (that delivery on Ray's Background is criminal, (he looks directly at the screen for crying out loud!).
Snooke
A Red Herring where one wasn't needed.
To sum up, an awful Star Wars film and a pretty Bad film in general.

Hate, loathe, detest this movie, it actually done the impossible & destroyed part of my love for Star Wars, we gone from the menacing dark, devious Emperor Palpatine & Darth Vader to Kylo (I'm moody & look like I'm about to cry in every scene) Ren & Hux (shouty bad overacting).
Nicely summed up Mark, i cannot even bring myself to review this abomination it still hurts, thing is when i had my first breakdown at 12 it was the Star Wars trilogy that helped me through some very dark days, last year my dad broke hip & affected his diabetes which shock has affected his memory the build up & anticipation of seeing this film helped me cope with the current family worries, so when i seen how something I've loved over 35 years be massacred by Rian Johnson it literally broke my heart & spirit & i partially think why I'm struggling with current family health worries cause i haven't got Star Wars (or Doctor Who on tv) to fall back on, sounds trivial but we need something in our lives get us through dark times.

I really enjoyed this Film...and i have it as one of my favourites, but it is only a film as Doctor who is only a tv show.Imagination is wonderful when things get ruined you can continue it in your own head. You dont like Doctor Who the way it is heading, stop where you enjoy it.Dont like the Star Wars films stop after the first trilogy. Its entertainment it shouldnât make life unbearable. so sorry to hear about all your tough times though but you will get through them, tough though they are.

Episodes 1-6, Rogue One & possibly future spin offs, the new trilogy will never see light day in my collection, Disney in my opinion are churning out badly scripted stories & Last Jedi felt worlds apart from what i love, bad acting, awful character arcs......sorry i can't get into it as if i start ranting I'll never stop.
What they did Lukes character is unforgivable, no way would he abandon his friends & family and Leia becoming Mary Poppins.....I'll stop now need go lie down in zero room, i much prefer the Timothy Zahn novels, excellent written adventures true to the characters.
I shall have plenty of Big Finish keep me going while the current era plays out even though Tim (Billy2) Bradley trying to coax me to watch first episode..
See Mark687 see what you done Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol.

Did I say I loved the Last Jediđđ€ Finally, an ally! In a world where even being indifferent on the last jedi is treason, one must hide any enjoyment from the last jedi or fear the consequence! seriously tho ik people have reasons to be attached to characters and have definations of what makes star wars star wars and doctor who doctor who for example...but jeeze i really fail to see how is as bad a film which people say it âobjectivelyâ is which is stupid everything, more or less, is subjective. As long as i can say the last jedi is good and why its good itâs not objectively bad but whatever, that annoys me. I dunno i just feel for a blockbuster film set in space, i dont think its ever striven to be more than fun archetypal good vs. Evil story with all your props charater types and your disequilibrium of the empire ruling and all that jazz. All basic stuff for the most part with maybes the prequels trying to be something more than that and successing to varying degrees. personally, its entertaining to me at the least. I enjoyed a lot of stuff in it and enjoyed the subversion of steryotypes tho i think thats because i despise mystery boxes thanks to Moffat so seeing all of them crushed like snoke and Reys parents made me very happy people calling it the worst film ever or attocious as many do...well tbh i envy them if tlj is the worst, theyâre far more attrocious and offensive films out there anyway ive said far too much, i must now flee back into hiding, farewell.

Having seen this film a few more times over the past few months, I think it's the best Star Wars film since The Empire Strikes Back. It has some absolutely wonderful performances - Mark Hamill being the major standout - and some much needed character growth across the entire board. There was never a dull moment and the cinematography throughout the entire film was absolutely impressive. The action scenes felt real and kinetic, and the times where it slowed and two characters talked never felt flat and boring.
In every conceivable way, it's the exact opposite of all three of George Lucas's prequels, which were all plagued with flat, boring shots, wooden acting (with Ewan McGregor and Ian McDiarmid being the only notable exceptions) and very poor pacing (which is something I noticed was absolutely true of Revenge of the Sith when I watched it a few days ago). The action scenes have not aged well. Praise the choreography all you like, all it comes across to me is a performance and one that does little to convey the actual emotions of the scene. No one actually fights like that.
I love the parallels this story makes between Luke and his previous masters, both of whom went into hiding when the going went tough and both of whom felt guilty for the tragedies that occurred because of their teachings. Seeing Luke learn to forgive himself and become the hero we all know he is again was, to me, the most compelling aspect of this movie. But, speaking of other parallels, I like the direction the film took Kylo Ren and Snoke in this movie. We've never quite had a villain like Kylo Ren in the franchise before, I think - one who's so conflicted and so obviously trying to be something he's not. Snoke was never really the interesting aspect of this all and I think it would have cheapened the weight of the story if Snoke turned out to be a retread of the Emperor, so I was pretty pleased to see him bite the dust. I always thought the First Order seemed like a parallel to alt-right fascism, and I really loved the irony that Kylo thinks he's letting the past die, but he's so obviously still clinging to the past images of the Empire.
I also really loved the arc with Finn and Rose. I immediately liked Rose - she has great chemistry with Finn too. The journey Finn goes through in this film, from being solely fixated on saving a single person close to him, to genuinely believing in the Resistance's cause was well done. The bit on Canto Bight seemed pretty long in theaters, but at home I found it was surprisingly quicker than I remembered it being in theaters. Plus, Canto Bight gave me one of my all-time favorite shots in all of Star Wars, which is the very last scene of the entire movie when the stableboy looks into the stars - it's so very reminiscent of A New Hope's twin sunset and so fitting too after Luke's sacrifice.
Some other things that didn't bother me on repeat viewings were the film's humorous moments, Vice Admiral Holdo's refusal to tell Poe her plans, and Leia's survival in space. I'm a firm believer that humor is one of the hardest things to judge, because sometimes its all about the context in which you view it - how you're feeling, what happened recently, etc. Each time I've seen the film since it was in theaters, the humor stood out less and less to me. I actually really enjoy the bit with Hux at the beginning. It goes by a lot quicker than I originally thought it had and I think all these humiliating moments for Hux are building up to something in the ninth episode where maybe he turns on Kylo. It's all just guesswork, really. As for Holdo not telling Poe her plans, I think the film does a good job establishing why she doesn't trust him. We're all on Poe's side because we know him and we know what his intentions are. But Holdo doesn't - all she sees is a reckless buffoon who just lost them all their bombers and many more men to boot, and now this guy's asking her to tell him what she's doing? To put it shortly, I thought it made a lot more sense on repeat viewings - though, I'm a little on the fence about her "I like him" line near the arc's resolution, but I'll take it as a bit of an ironic statement. Finally, I thought Leia gliding through space was stupid originally, but then again she wasn't in space for all that long and we do know it is possible for humans to survive in space for a short period of time (not comfortably, obviously) and who knows what protections a force sensitive has. Further, I think it's entirely within reason to expect Leia gained some control over the Force in the years between Jedi and The Force Awakens. And, let's be real, this is a science fantasy franchise and space has rarely ever been known to function according to realism.
There's probably a whole lot of stuff I'm leaving out, but that's the gist of how I feel about this movie now. I just felt like I needed to get it off my chest, so now that I have... sorry, must dash.

One must never flee.Everyone is entitled to an opinion.I enjoyed that it i subverted the stereotypes as you say.I expected a run of the mill Star Wars Story and it was not.Visually it was a great for the eyes.I liked that Rey was a nobody ,no history just a poor kid sold for drink.I liked that the villain Snoke was despatched.I liked that Kylo didnât go with Rey.I donât have to write screeds to justify my like or even my dislike.Just like I wonât write screeds about my Doctor Who likes and dislikes and I wonât hide from voicing my opinion either and holding to it. It was not some pubescent fan fantasy as a lot of writing seems to be especially when I look at Doctor Who or some of the other stuff.Yes Leila flew through space with her untapped Jedi potential but it was no worse than daddy skywalker flying through the air off a speeder or jumping really high distances etc etc.Its a film,a movie, entertainment I do not own the property my life isnât invested in it to the point it will destroy my happiness.Yes people are passionate about it,but that same passion should be invested in causes that require it not in movies and tv shows. Perhaps itâs just the Scot in me.B..g.r what others think of your opinion.

I have seen it about ten times now with nephews with nieces with brothers sisters in laws and not one of them has disliked it even my mother enjoyed it very much and she is 75 she was with me at the beginning when Star Wars first came out she watched her way through every film every vhs and every dvd and she loved Lukeâs and Leias finale especially since she knew it was Leias swan song so to speak.. The film could have appeased avid fans who have gobbled up the books and worked out chronologies etc but I think it found an audience outside of fandom same with `Doctor who it will find a new audience outside of us fans and perhaps given some of the rants I have read ....perhaps thatâs a good thing.

Looks well when we couldn't give a s..t about Episode 9, Star Wars were to me event movies but not anymore, ii never ever thought I'd leave a theatre after seeing a Star Wars movie & feel so angry, underwhelmed & disappointed, Disney is simply sucking the life out of the franchise, they don't care just want to sell some merchandise it's another brand to them. There's more heart & emotion in a 20 minute episode of Rebels than the entire Last Jedi, the two part season 2 finale literally gave me goosebumps & a lump in my throat when Ahsoka discovered who Vader truly is. Anyway I'm done ranting, my opinion will never change on this & i have to accept some fans like it but I'd rather watch The Holiday Special on loop than rewatch Last Jedi.

Did I say I loved the Last Jediđđ€ Can I ask why......i think itâs a mess, forgetting the liberties he takes with characters n mythologyâs, the direction flip flops from one dead end thread to another, before giving us a half decent final 30 mins. true there are some great set pieces, but then is shoots itâs self in the foot but doing stupid pointless stuff like the space walk, coins in bb8 & DJ (probally the most annoying thing since jar jar) Personally after watching it 4 times now, it was full of good intentions but spoilt by a director who thought he knew best and tried too hard to make his mark. Its probally a better film than TPM OR AOTC..... but no where near as fun or interesting. just wonder why or what there was to love so much? You watched this 4 TIMES?.........collapses........
