Thats an instant buy for me. Sounds like a really wonderful send off.
Also a cool little crossover to have Torchwood's queen Victoria show up.

Really happy about this. I'm sure it will be a wonderful tribute to the dear departed Trevor Baxter, as well as a triumphant last hurrah for the thankfully still very much with us Christopher Benjamin. Not to mention an absolute gift for all of us Jago and Lightfoot fans. Can't wait to hear it, even if it will be a little bittersweet, I'm sure.

And kudos to mbt66 for this suggestion back in July: Jago & Co : The Litefoot InheritanceSo great minds do sometimes happen to come up with similar bright ideas - a coincidental confluence of coruscating cogitation!

I’m really glad about this news. It’ll be nice to have some closure on the series, and it’s nice to see so many returning faces for the send off. I’ve been a little hesitant to listen to the latest boxset because I never got around to listening to it before Trevor passed and I didn’t want it to end, but I suppose I’ll have to get around to it now.

Fantastic. I can't wait.
(Although, like many, I do have to listen to Season 13, which I was holding off on.)

i don't want to sound like the xmas grump......but this is very expensive for what amounts to one story and a back patting doc.
its great to have the short trips on CD for those who want it but i am effectively being forced to buy them again as a download only purchaser who already has the short trips.

It doesn't matter greatly but I wonder if they'll resolve the cliffhanger from the last series, even if just in a throwaway line of dialogue.

Yes, it will certainly address that cliffhanger

That is not only great news - and instantly pre-ordered - but a really nicely worded news piece. If reading that brings a tear to the eye (and it does!), then imagine what listening to the story will do. It sounds like a fitting end to a magical series. Thanks and congrats to all concerned.

Agree, it is fabulous to have a conclusion to Jago & Litefoot, but it seems odd that there isn't a cheaper download option, without 'The Jago & Litefoot Revival', as if you're a fan you will already have bought them. Great if you are a physical collector, but some like me buy 100% download. Also how long is the story? The details say the overall disk length is 180 minutes, and with 'The Revival' taking 66 minutes, I wonder how long the interviews will be. In comparison a Doctor Who Main Range release costs £12.99 for 120 minutes, but for those of us that already have 'The Revival' it's going to cost £14.99 for less than two hours. So as muckypup says, it's expensive. Bah humbug, I'm such a misery

So as muckypup says, it's expensive. The length is always discs*60, no matter how long it as actually is. (Download only releases excepted.) 60 minutes could mean 50, or it could mean (hopefully) 78 (as in the case of the "hour-long" documentary on Tenth Doctor Adventures Volume 1 LE).

But, yes, I agree that it is expensive. With the current website setup, I don't think it's possible to give a discount to owners of the Short Trips. But no pre-order discount either.
Despite that, come on. Anyone who is far enough through Jago and Litefoot to consider buying it will anyway.

At this moment in time I am not buying........it’s annoyed me that there is not a download for just drama/doc it feels like cashing in on poor Trevor’s passing. the guys at b/f would have thought of the fact that many of us have bought the short trip already.......and have chosen to ignore it!

Actually, I'm not buying it yet, either. I'm more-than-half thinking of leaving it for a Christmas 2018 special. Partially because I want to leave it for a special occasion, partially because, in the light of Trevor's passing, I haven't started Series 11.

This is fantastic news. Jago & Litefoot has always been one of my favorite series, so I'm glad we're getting a sense of closure, even though the absence of Trevor Baxter may make it difficult to listen to (emotionally, that is. I'm sure Big Finish will produce an amazing product.).
