BIG FINISH AUDIOBOOKS » EARTHSEARCH: MINDWARPReleased December 2017 (download only)SynopsisArama - a great domed city encased in rock, deep beneath the surface. Generation after generation of people have gone about their lives in a world of finite space and infinite resources - never pondering the many inconistencies around them. They have been taught not to. To them there is only Arama... and Diablo - the evil land against which they fight an eternal war. And the outdoors? Well, that's just a myth. Something to frighten children. A threat for those who disobey the Guardian of Destiny. No one questions why things are as they are. No one wonders if there could be something more. Until now... Just listened to this today and I'm glad that Big Finish's script writing, acting and sound design have significantly improved since this release from 2001. It was an okay listen, but once is enough for me.
Also I noticed that the Big Finish website says the duration is 245' approx, wasn't sure if this was 2 hours 45mins, or 4 hours 5 minutes, but according to the Big Finish listening app it is actually 2 hours 22 minutes + 19 seconds.

Have to agree. I thought this started off reasonably well, but by part 3 was a bit of a slog to the finish.

Am glad it wasn't just me who wasn't overly keen on this; I scored it 2/5, but someone has given it 5/5, this just shows we all like different things.

Beginning to think I should have saved my money in the Xmas sale (and I haven't even listened to it yet lol)
Cheers

Beginning to think I should have saved my money in the Xmas sale (and I haven't even listened to it yet lol) All I can say is, the audio is of it's time. It's very basic and probably not the best adaptation of James Follett's novel. I'm sure if BF were adapting and recording Mindwarp now, the story, performances and soundscape would be a heck of lot better.
