There's an error on the Coming Soon page, where Warlock's Cross lists Ace and Mel as the companions.

Big Finish are slow to release stories on streaming services because if they put everything on there they'd go bust overnight
I'm still shocked they're only spending what their earning makes me again wonder the wisdom of the Doc Chronicles and the sheer number of New Who spin offs, Sales figures for DS would make interesting reading too.

Big Finish are slow to release stories on streaming services because if they put everything on there they'd go bust overnight My wife read an article recently that says that people only get some ridiculously small fraction of a cent per listen when their work is on Spotify, which made me very glad I've steered clear of it - particularly when it comes to Big Finish.

Oh I know Barnaby Edwards once Tweeted he gets a cheque for something like 20 pence for every 100000 streams of Audiobooks he's narrated for other companies that put their work on there.

ALEX FITCH in Vortex Mail asks about the possibility of Big Finish releasing Doctor Who and the Krikketmen as and audio adventure with Tom and Lalla, unsurprisingly with a BBC audio reading already out the rights are not available, but Nick once again states that previous sales figures means that they will not be doing any further novel adaptations.
I know it must be true, but I still find it hard to believe that Tom’s Fourth Doctor stories sold so badly.

There's been a couple of threads about this, where I broke down the possible income from these things, it makes my mind boggle that BF would choose this channel at all, the loss of even one or two sales because of this is the equivalent of many thousands of streams. The only way this makes any commercial sense to me, is if streamers are a totally different market to purchasers, only I think as the music industry has found, they are not.

Regards mark687 I suspect budgets/money have eased at BF compared to years past, there certainly seems to be more money around, BUT I suspect that they've only perhaps normalised their income and expenditure, in so much as they no longer need to beg, steal and borrow to make ends meet.

True but that's how it reads its reads like the majority of profit goes straight back into production, and they seem to be mainly investing it in more and more tangential Who spin-offs these days.

Spotted an error on Listen Again. It says the stories were released November 2014. They were released October and December 2012 respectively.

Ok.. I remember shopping at Sainsbury's (sp?) 6 years ago when I went all over UK and surrounding countries on my Dr Who themed honeymoon..
So who is going to stock up on the Energy Of The Daleks vinyl? 1500 is not many in the grand scheme of things. Hopefully they do more.

My main association with that establishment is the abysmal Exile, where the writer happens to enjoy patronising it (as in visiting it). Something about using the Screwdriver to get a stuck coin out of the meter and Princess Anne.

Given how much forward coverage Vortex has been giving, the cover will likely go to a release scheduled for after June. Callan or the Eighth Doctor Time War set perhaps. Could go to Second Doctor Volume 2 though. Jenny and Lovers' Refrain was covered in May's issue.
