So, I'd like to pick up one or two of these for my big finish listen through. But I don't know anything about b7 at all. I was thinking one full cast release and one LC. are there any that stand out as good for beginners?

I already own everything except most of the books.
I tried to start reading The Forgotten but find it hard to get into and, frankly, forgettable.
Haven't bought the other books, but considering Paul Darrow's Lucifer books. I enjoyed the audiobook version of the first book.
Also looking at the Warship ebook and wondering what it has that wasn't already in the audiostory? Though for the price, I might get it anyway.

I actually found something I didn't already have, and got them on sale, to boot, for once. So I finally grabbed both of Paul Darrow's Lucifer audiobooks, and the Blake's 7 reboot (largely for the stories featuring Jan Chapel and Michael Keating, and the curiosity/novelty value of the attempted reboot itself). Two seven or so hour audiobooks, and ten discs worth of all the reboot related stories, all at 40℅ off. Regardless of whether they live up, or down, to popular opinion, can't really fault that on sheer value terms alone.

I thought those B7 reboots were pretty well done, at least from a sci-fi point of view, they worked better. But that tends to move the narrative away from being character driven, like the original show was. So while I did not dislike them and would probably be interested if more had been produced, I'm perfectly fine with the way that Big Finish have keyed into and added to the original series.

I'm a huge fan of Rebellion Reborn. It was willing to go deeper into just how that kind of universe would operate, and not afraid of how grim it could be. Escape Velocity is just incredible.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Totally agree: Rebellion Reborn takes the same sort of chances that the original series took forty years ago. I've mentioned elsewhere that I finished the cliffhanger to the third CD and, despite knowing what had happened and what was about to happen, I felt a genuine pang that it wasn't there. Will add a vote for Escape Velocity which is just terrific.

So, is there any sort of suggested running order for the B7 Reborn stuff collected in that ten disc set? Is just the order they come in as part of the full set, as released by BF, fine, or is there a kind of preferred running order for those stories beyond the original linked three part main series itself? So I guess, to clarify, do stories like Escape Velocity, Dust Run and Blood & Earth have a recommended listening order?

Reborn is practically a separate series from the other B7 material listen to it however you want.

The Cally and Jenna stories are both in two parts so you'll need to take care there. The order in the box set is the order they were released in.

That means I have to re-consider whether I want to get the Lucifer books! I'm thinking probably not. If they came out as audiobooks, I'd get them, though.

I’ve used this sale to finish my marathon of Blake’s 7 audios so I got the second series of full cast audios, and the last 3 volumes of the liberator chronicles.
I thought that was it but then I I just couldn’t resist when the sale got extended so I got the first Lucifer audiobook and ‘The Forgotten’ the first book.

Forgotten was the only B7 fiction book I bought. I couldn't get interested enough in it to get beyond the first chapter, so I never bothered to buy any others.

I remember reading reviews that Forgotten and Archangel were meh, but the others were very good. So I got all the others (and Rebellion Reborn).

Good to know. I have a backlog of reading, anyway. I don't need more books right now.
