More Eighth Doctor is always welcome, however I still wish that Big Finish had taken the opportunity to sprinkle boxsets from other eras around the on going Eighth Doctor Time War series.
Waiting a year or so for more Helen and the Eleven would have upped my excitement for what is now Ravenous.

I agree l think it breaks the irregular continuity if that makes sense of what should exist. For example we have 5,6,7 who in the most are the main stays of the main range. 1,2,3 and 4 form early or box set special releases. Or for 4 seem to be a range apart. Then we have 8,9,10 etc which form part of a disjointed box set special with what appear no range identity. I would prefer personally just have 1 to whatever and a release based around them. The main range is slightly lost its way. My thoughts of course but it make no sense to me

I appreciate that due to what is to come for the Eighth Doctor in CD:NM2 it is unlikely to be, but I cannot help thinking that Ravenous would be a great title for a boxset featuring the Vashta Nerada.

I hate to be negative because I am really excited for this set and John Dorney and Matt Fitton are both great writers, but when this is the 4th Eighth Doctor set in a row written by just the two of them I have to wonder whether it would be worth getting other writers to write some scripts for Paul soon, but for now the last few sets have been great and there's no reason why this one shouldn't be.

Dorney and Fitton are arguably my top 2 favorite writers at BF right now, so I'm thrilled. But yeah, I do see your point.

It is another good reason why I would have liked some different era boxsets for the Eighth. I love the pair of them writing the on going Eighth Doctor Adventures, the last two Doom Coalition boxsets were brilliant, however it would be nice to see what other writers can bring to his previous periods.

I do! In a month I'll hear something from Guy Adams and then think, "Hmm, where does he fit on the list?" Or David Llewellyn, or Nick Briggs, or.....Ahhh! so many amazing writers. We're so spoiled.

I still hope they could get Rob Shearman back for a story or two, his 8th Doctor stories were great, and I'd love to see how Jonathan Blum/Kate Orman would write for McGann on audio, their four novels were the amongst best of the EDA range i.m.o ( The Year Of Intelligent Tigers especially impressed me, fantastic piece of writing)

I can't really agree with you on this, there work for Eight has been fantastic. It's possible given the looser arc this time around however, we might see new or different writers under their helm.

McGann's scheldue is busy enough as it is, that really is an impossibility. Who knows? We might get new stories in past eras for Big Finish's anniversary in 2020, though. Well, your waiting longer then a year already I can't agree with you on that. For me, it's just another ongoing series of Doctor Who

It would be great to see Big Finish revisit all of their original companions for their 20th anniversary (which is 2019, innit?). Even Evelyn and Erimem could show up in a Subscriber Short Trip or something.

Big Finish's 20th anniversary is this year as their first audio release was in 1998, but the 20th Anniversary of their first Doctor Who release is 2019. So there should be some special releases from them in both years...

Indeed, I like what appears the be the depiction of The Kandyman there. Not quite the saccharine-bodied fellow we know from The Happiness Patrol, but clearly an altered human being. His inclusion continues to be the main attraction for me - and played by Young Sherlock Holmes Nicholas Rowe too. Looks good!
