The Korean Peninsula remains one of the most tense regions at present, any move towards establishing better relations between the two Koreas is positive. The joint-team is really just a gesture, but it's an important step to perhaps easing tensions in the longer-term. But what if it also signals an agreement between both North and South Korea in terms of wanting to launch nuclear missiles? Can't see that being agreed to. For a start South Korea's very tightly allied with the US, which is completely opposed to North Korea's nuclear programme and secondly its not really in South Korea's interest to help North Korea with nuclear missiles.

I love the fact that North and South Korea are united under one flag. I see that as potentially problematic. By joining forces with North Korea are they now supporting Kim Jong Un's nuclear ambitions? These are athletes that are focused on striving the best they can be as a team in their chosen sport for their countries. These are sporting associations and citizens of their countries, they're not generals in the military. To lump them all with some egotistic, weapons mad leader is an injustice to the good people of those countries who undoubtedly want world peace along with the rest of us. This is a step in the right direction and I'm surprised anyone would think the opposite.

I've only been seeing little bits and pieces here and there, but there's been some really nice performances for the long-distance ski jump and the cross-country. The cinematography they've been able to get with the modern cameras is fantastic. They're very clever with what they show, there are so many unconventional shots. A particular favourite was the ski jump with a close-up of the athletes as they move through the air towards the ice below.

I'm so inpatient in waiting for Team GB to win some medals. When are we going to come first, second or third?

Now we just need to get a gold and a silver. Shame so many accidents are happening due to bad decisions by Korea to carry on with certain events despite poor weather conditions.

Such a shame for Elise Christie. Hope she gets well soon. Speed skating seems way too harsh on the athletes - I think if any are penalised they should have to redo the heat.

Congratulations to Lizzy Yarnold's second consecutive gold in the women's skeleton. And to Laura Deas for her bronze in the skeleton too.

Congratulations to Lizzy Yarnold's second consecutive gold in the women's skeleton. And to Laura Deas for her bronze in the skeleton too. Fantastic result. First time a Team GB athlete has successfully defended her title and the first time two British athletes have received medals in the same competition.

That Curling controversy got to me.
Also Im a bit annoyed when they leave a match halfway through to shows something else. At least finish the bloody match you are showing first

Congratulations to Lizzy Yarnold's second consecutive gold in the women's skeleton. And to Laura Deas for her bronze in the skeleton too. And also to Dom Parsons for his Bronze. (The first Skeleton medal for a GB man since 1928!) It seems almost impossible for mild, damp, non-icy Britain, but our team just won 50% of all the available medals in Skeleton. I've enjoyed following the Bob & Skeleton World Cup (on the BBC Red Button) since the autumn; what was most impressive about the last few days was that all our Skeleton athletes well out-performed their World Cup standings when it came to the most important races of the season (or in fact, of four seasons). Result!

Talking of unfairness...Elise Christie was ridiculously unlucky. Definitely shouldn't have got a yellow card. The judges are corrupt.

But based on what WE saw, I agree she shouldn't have had a yellow card

I'm surprised she's still talking about competing in the next Winter Olympics. I'd be tempted to just call it a day after the bad luck Elise has had.

It’s a shame for her, but it’s embarrassing the utter nonesense these commentators talk about it and the rest of the events. but it’s not corruption, you can clearly see the two incidents that caused the yellow card.

Can you? I watched the replays they showed yesterday and all I saw was Elise Christie accidentally elbowing other skaters as she was trying to get in front.
