Well, it's appearing in my downloads but without a download button, so it's imminent. Delighted to see this series get a second season.

Decided to start with series 1.So far have listened TO"Burnt Offerings" and "The Skinsaw Murders" I am hooked!! "Burnt Offerings" was a bit genericy but I stuck with it because you could see something there and then "Skinsaw" was creepy and the series took off. So get by the fun but slightly off first episode (think of it like a pilot!) and you're away. Mummy's Mask is downloaded but I have other stuff slotted for listening first, mainly "The Omega Factor".

your comments are spot-on.The first episode introduces the characters and the world of pathfinder.Having established this, its moves swiftly on.We get a haunted house,a crime scene investigation, horrific happenings in the countryside The lead actors all do an accomplished job and the soundscape is more than convincing All-in-all as you say a creepy collection of wierd goings-on and nefarious necromancy. Great stuff!

I bought the first series (thought I'd take a stab in the dark) and I'm afraid I couldn't get through any of them. I kept drifting oof and thinking of other things, the first BF series I have given up on. Maybe I just need to set aside some time and CONCENTRATE on them...?

I didn't think that Big Finish did a very good job promoting the first series. I hoped for a podcast and/or a free preview. Nothing came so I lost what interest I had.
When the second series was announced it was the forum that convinced me to give it a go, so I subscribed.
I have listened to the first Mummy Mask episode and enjoyed it. I love the main four characters, but found some of the supporting characters difficult to differentiate and sometime to picture. I am also struggling with some of the storyline and characters motivations. However I enjoyed the experience so much that I am looking forward to listening to it again and am sure that any perceived failings will be down to me and not the writer!

Yes it is soo easy to do just losing concentration while listening. As soon as I put on my earphones.my other half seems to see this as a signal for talking! If you can persevere though, they are worth it.If not there is always E-Bay.lol!

This first story moves "Pathfinder Legends" up a notch IMO."Rise of the Runelords was great. The main feature being the banter and bickering between our intrepid heroes as they ward-off the forces of necromancy and the supernatural. But the one hour slot did give the stories a sense of being rushed,it was a lot of stuff to cram into an hour. Not so the 2nd series which has a two hour slot. This gives the writers more scope and allows the story to unfold at a slower pace, allowing for more detail which I personally like. The banter and the bickering is still there, along with the ghostly and ghoulish element, for the land of Osirion read Eygpt.I am a sucker for lost-tombs and ancient artefacts. All things "Indiana Jones" or "Tombraideresque" I hope a 3rd series does not get buried beneath an avalanche of Nu-stuff(not that I have anything against the nu-stuff I love it all) I look forward to the rest of this series! It would be ironic if a story of lost-tombs,became a lost-tomb itself. "Rise of the Runelords"was the tv-series."Mummys-Mask(The half dead city)" is the first feature film.Loved it!!

Three releases in and I'm still enjoying these immensely, I am so glad I gave this second series a go. However so sporadically are they releasing them I think I might have to bring forward my purchase of the original series.
What I really would have liked and had hoped for after the first release were more illustrations of the different characters and monsters in the booklet rather than the exact same interior booklet showing the main four characters in all three releases. It might be a licensing issue, but I suspect it is Big Finish's current disregard for their CD booklets.
