I have pre-ordered this. It's all a bit strange as I really wasn't expecting to. I was going to pass on it even with Rakhee and Phillip in it. I don't have any nostalgia for the series having never seen it before, and awhile back I tried to watch the TV series and made it all of it about 15 minutes before giving up - I think I decided I just don't like cop shows, not even in zero gravity (and quite a fine job the show did with that effect too, even from the tiny bit I watched)...
But I was very intrigued by the trailer (which almost never happens) so it must have something going for it, and I think I enjoyed the excerpt a lot more than I enjoyed the TV series, so I think it's a case like The Prisoner where it's probably much better for me to try to connect to the series through Big Finish rather than the OS. (That might also end up the case with Class, so I'm more optimistic about that range too now).

I like how they turn the horizon 180 degrees like in the original.

I'll have to pick up with this set again when the distractions subside, but I was very keen to get started and managed to hear the first story today. I must say I'm very impressed and thus far very glad I bought it. I'll give One of Our Cops is Missing a 5, rounded up from 4.75 (with an actual 5 generally reserved for typical award-winning Dorney and such), which definitely puts it up there among the very best in my book.

I've got to say, this has been my favorite release from Big Finish this year. As much as I love Doctor Who and Blake's 7, Star Cops and Survivors have now overtaken them as my favorite series from Big Finish. When new episodes of Survivors (and, now, Star Cops) come out, those take priority over all other programs.
The Big Finish team has hit a home-run on Star Cops - it still feels like the original, but it feels timely and original at the same time. I just hope that enough other people discover how great it is so that it'll keep going for a long time.
BTW... serendipity worked in the production teams' favor - not having Kenzy heavily involved gave the new characters a chance to shine. I love how they interacted with Nathan and Devis, and I'm super-excited to have Kenzy worked in as a full-time cast member in the next box-set!

Jago & Litefoot was my favourite ongoing BF release. I think this will fill that void & hope for many more releases to come. Please BF if you read this forum we want more more more Star Cops!

Two episodes in and really enjoying it. If I have one small complaint it is that the episodes kind of peter out and stop rather than ending. Otherwise, great sound design, great performance and great world building.

Guy Adams admits it was self-indulgent, but I like the scene where Paul analyses the person he's impersonating from what's in their apartment. It goes more into the undercover angle, and sets up a moment when the real guy goes into a kung fu pose near the end of the story.
