Fall Out - not adapted, although the revelation of Number One's identity was used in Vol 2 It was? I'm either dim and missed it or I've forgotten. Better relisten. As I mentioned upthread, used and discarded (and having now listened to the extras, Nick explicitly says this is to let people know that’s not the route it’s going).

VERY CONFUSED......what's the point in this comic thing.......what's so special? a cover is that really a thing? can i just have it digitally....i don't want more paper clutter...... is it available to download only customers. why do i have to pay postage? what if i don't want it? can i have i sent to somewhere else as i am paying the postage......... very poorly worded news item and product page.......i expect better.... in fact i think i will wait and keep the money in my account Variant covers, where an issue can have two or more covers, are indeed a thing. It's usually a sales tactic, aimed at collectors and/or comicbook retailers (variant covers tend to be one variant for every twenty five regular covers ordered or something like that). Titan are very familiar with variant covers, and I know they tend to do three or four of them for each issue in their Doctor Who and Torchwood lines. 2013-2016 DC would do themed variant months, like Lego (basically a mini-fig of the main character), monster movie (reimagining the character as a movie monther), movie poster (those were some great ones), Joker, an anniversary theme, adult coloring book etc. tl:dr Same content, different cover options. As for how it's relevant here, Titan are doing a Prisoner title and Nick was able to negotiate an opportunity for cross-promotion. Titan have been promoting Big Finish for years anyway. The marketing for their first Torchwood mini-series said it was in continuity with the Big Finish audios (the Torchwood comics Titan do are crap, I couldn't finish the first mini-series).

For UK customers the postage cost is £1.20 ----------------------------------------------------------- You have selected: The Prisoner Volume 3 + Comic (CD/Comic) - £25.00 Shipping cost - £1.20 This CD bundle includes a free copy of the special limited edition of The Prisoner #1 from Titan Comics Publishing, sporting a cover designed by Big Finish's Mark Plastow, and featuring star Mark Elstob as Number Six. The comic is released on 25th April 2018, and will be posted out after as soon as possible after this date. This bundle offer is available until the end of July 2018, or whilst comic stocks last. The Prisoner Volume 3 is due for release in May 2019. ----------------------------------------------------------- Now you see where I'm coming from - charge me $5 for the comic as an add on to the download, not the ridiculous $25 as a separate item. As near as I can tell the download does not include the comic, and if that is the case BF needs to make that clear on the website, alternately, they need to show the comic as part of the pre-order for download customers as well. Confirmed on Twitter the Comic only comes as a physical release so you'd only get on its own or included a CD Bundle per-order made before end of July or as long the Comic stock lasts .

To which I will restate that $25 for a single issue comic book is utterly ridiculous. More than ever this illustrates that BF needs to fix their broken shipping model.

Actually purchasing the bundle with the comic book brought the price down by a couple of bucks than just buying the box set on its own. Crazy.

To be even more specific, the fates of each of the 17 TV episodes: Arrival - adapted, as "Departure and Arrival" The Chimes of Big Ben - adapted A. B. and C. - adapted extremely loosely, as "Project Six" Free for All - is one of the stories in Volume 3, although the faithfulness of the adaptation is as yet uncertain The Schizoid Man - adapted The General - not adapted Many Happy Returns - adapted very loosely, as "I Met a Man Today" Dance of the Dead - not adapted Checkmate - not adapted Hammer Into Anvil - adapted, but extremely different from the original episode It's Your Funeral - not adapted A Change of Mind - not adapted Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling - not adapted Living in Harmony - not adapted; the Big Finish episode with this title was a different story altogether The Girl Who Was Death - not adapted (unlikely to be, perhaps?) Once Upon a Time - not adapted Fall Out - not adapted, although the revelation of Number One's identity was used in Vol 2 I guess this list can be updated a little

By email their response was to lay the blame at the feet of Titan comics and completely ignore the suggestion that they make it clear in the news item that this does not apply to download orders. They clearly do not understand that not everyone uses Facebook or Twitter as a means of getting information.
I fully understand that distribution of the comic book would be controlled by Titan, however that has nothing do with their failure to be clear in their own product advertising.

I Agree
All it needed was a bolded "Comic is only available as a separate physical product or as part of a CD Bundle pre-order bought before end of July" it shouldn't even really say while stocks last. If they may've changed it
The news piece now reads
The Prisoner Volume 3 is available for pre-order at £25.00 on CD or £20.00 on download or as a bundle. And if you place your pre-order before the end of July this year, you’ll get a free copy of Titan Comics’ The Prisoner with the exclusive, special cover art featuring Mark Elstob as Number Six (with a small charge for shipping and only whilst stocks last).
EDIT
No
The Bundle is still showing as the CD option only.

Surprised it is ending this soon and sad as well.
But maybe better to go out on a high and have people complain it ended too soon than the opposite.

It's such a real real shame that this is the last one. Vol.1 & 2 were two of BF's best box sets and the whole series was of a real high standard and quality.

There's a kind of tease that, despite the title of the final story, that this may not be the end. I mean, The Prisoner has never been straightforward ...

A pity to see that Volume 3 will be the last one, but I guess all good things have to come to The End eventually..

Nick’s “That would be telling” comment implies to me that this isn’t the last time Big Finish dives into the world of The Prisoner . Others mileage may vary. And in relation to CDs and BF, this happening all rather quickly. Much like the Per Order charge being a knee jerk reaction to a long term issue Big Finish was unaware of, this seems like Big Finish got a study back from someone and had a collective Oh My God moment when they looked at the numbers. Anyway, I can hear the prices of the deluxe box set skyrocketing on eBay now.

Personally I don’t think we’d be seeing Vol. 1 go OOP so soon if it were released in the slipcover format like Vol 2 was. It was probably quite expensive to press copies of anything in that weird book format.

So BF have reduced the original number of Vol 1s AND going to do a reduced Bundle price for Vols1-3?
Never mind "Information"! Nick "Number 1" Briggs must be going "This Series Will Sell"!

The difference between the CD price and the download price for the bundle is absurd.

The difference between the CD price and the download price for the bundle is absurd. Its literally only saving the Postal Cost (from a UK Customer's POV)
