Loved the first two stories and am looking forward to the next two. Mark really sells this he has done a great job of breathing new life into 6

Well what can i say unlike the pretty much stand alone episodes of the previous set this is one continuous movie lol...revelations and twists and turns come thick and fast as you’d expect this really could be the end or NOT lol but this is a very satisfying Finale if it is hats off to Mark and Nicholas Briggs you definitely pulled out the stops on this to make it very listeneable and very satisfying.

I can't comment on this until I hear it again. The end of this just really threw me for multiple loops. This time I've gone back and listened to Vol 1 and 2, now back on to 3.

I enjoyed this set very much.
Unusually for the prisoner, it answers a lot of questions, but it leaves several still unanswered, which is frankly the best way to do it.
Having watched most of the episodes the first two sets were baised on, it feels like Nick grew more and more confident in his own vision of the prisoner, allowing the Elstob version to grow and develop his own way.
I think the ending of No One Will Know will stay with me for a while, one for the questions it raised, and second simply for Mark Elstob's performance in the last ten minutes.
I'm certainly glad I signed up for this wild ride, it was well worth the trip.

Almost finished this set, will post more detailed thoughts shortly. What I would say now however is -
It's brilliant so get it asap
Also avoid the extras on the end of each episode/CD as they have spoilers. Disappointing because such sloppiness is so unusual on BF's part

Finished it now.
Wow
What can I say? Nick has hit it out of the park. It is at one and the same time both wonderfully true to the original and yet goes in quite a different direction plotwise.
The original made no sense, partly because it seemed to have very little continuity or consistency from one episode to the next. This version, all written by the one person as it is, has a consistency and unity to it that the original lacked. Nick is a fan and has the fan's desire to tie everything up and this shows, but not in a bad way.
It's just very good and very clever the way he has done it.
Elstob's Six seems a bit angrier and more aggressive than McGoohan's and a bit more tightly wound up. That makes where he ends up in the last scene all the more powerful.
Nick has said this is the last, but if there is to be more I would prefer missing episodes set during the 3 series we have rather than a continuation of the story. I like the ending and it's a good jumping off point. But somehow 12 episodes doesn't feel quite right, BF should do another 5 to bring it up to 17.
I said in my previous post you should buy it, but I would qualify that by saying you should buy and listen to series 1 & 2 first

According to a comment from Nick on Facebook, if sales dramatically increase, there might be a Prisoner 'special' or two. Perhaps I am being naive, but I didn't realise that sales were the reason the series has ended - I thought keeping it as a trilogy was just an artistic decision. The fact that it didn't sell as well as Big Finish had hoped makes me sad.

Listened to the extras CD - 6 tracks of the usual extras and then 20 tracks of music.
This just makes the spoilers in the extras on the end of CDs 1-4 all the more puzzling. Why not put the music on the end of those CDs and gather all the interviews together on disc 5?

Defintely a great set of box sets and i think someone new coming to them will agree. I am happy with its conclusion rather than spinning it out for all eternity I’d rather have three excellent Box sets that six sub par

That said I think it was something that shouldn't drag on anyway. Like the TV series a short run makes it rather more special.

As we've said before I think the sales issue is at least partly due to making Vol 1 a premium only limited set that cost twice as much as most of BF's standard boxsets. The curious who were on the fence might have bitten at £20 but at £40? Hmm...as again we noted back when the range launched you could get the entire TV show on bluray for less than that. Pricing was wrong from the inception and I think the rejigging of the packaging and cost for the next 2 sets showed BF thought so too on reflection.

Yes, the initial premium set, while looking quite nice was a mistake in terms of trying to get good sales figures. The price just turned too many people off. My box was 945 out of 3000. And it is out of print on CD, probably due to cutting the print run. The final set was great. I was quite intrigued and upon finishing the story the other day (still have some from the extra disc to go), I am really tempted to both listen to all 3 sets again and also watch the TV show again. Too much other stuff on my plate right now, but one of these days ...

I don’t understand why it needs to spin on and on and on unless Nick has another ending in mind, personally loved the Finality of the Finale in terms of what was told and I like it much better than the TV show. Mark knocked it out of the park playing the character and what an exemplary co starring cast they don’t come much better than all those actors. It was I felt such a let down to have 2 and 3 in their little plastic casings compared to the first one. But he’ll they have 2 Great volumes to sell that are shall we say ‘Complete”
