The most recent complete series back at its pre order price?
Probably the worst "Special Offer" BF have done IMO
Maybe they'll do something better for Anniversary Weekend.

An underwhelming "sale". Dark Eyes has been part of special offer relatively often. Must be busy at Big Finish offices. Hope the Sleep No More tie-in offer is better.

Sale orders take a week or so to get shipped out anyway, I'm still waiting for the Zygon CDs to be dispatched, and Boo Finish was only dispatched several days ago. At least the Lucie Miller stories could have been part of the offer. Truth be told, I'm quite relieved I won't be parted from any money from this offer.

Being able to get the Dark Eyes releases at 20 a pop is a good deal if you don't already have them all. They've done this sort of discount on the Dark Eyes range before. Even though it's a relatively recent release I'm not bothered by it.
I pre-ordered, so I already have them all, anyway, but that's how sales go. I once bought something at 15% off on a Friday only to have it go to 20% off on a Monday. Could have saved more if I waited, but not worth getting upset about.

But the bundle is already £80, 1 was already £20 with 2-4 available for £60 so the only people who'll benefit from this are those who have one of sets 2-4 but not the others - surely a significant minority. It feels like a token gesture.

So this does seem underwhelming, especially when there is a good chunk of Main Range they could shove on sale. Or even the EDAs. I do agree that this seems...Token. Like they have another sale in mind and then realized that it was McGann's Birthday...

It feels like a token gesture. Well, that's true, if you're able to spend £80 all at once. Not everyone is. So for people like this, the sale is helpful. They can get one of the Dark Eyes box sets each time there is a sale like this. I think I got Dark Eyes 1 on a sale like this, if I recall correctly. After that, I pre-ordered each new Dark Eyes release as it was announced, so I paid the same £20 pre-order price for Dark Eyes 2, 3, and 4. Once the release is out, you can only get that price per release when it's on sale or if you have the cash to buy all 4 box sets at once.

I was kind of expecting a sale on more of the Eighth Doctor releases, as they've done in the past, to tell the truth. That's how I picked up most of the Eighth Doctor Adventures and some of the Eighth Doctor Main Range releases.

Like they have another sale in mind and then realized that it was McGann's Birthday... It would seem probable that Big Finish staff (who ironically didn't have time to do that on their own forum) are monitoring our posted sentiments. So lo and behold, a week later after a thread has been previously posted and well attended - a Paul McGann Birthday sale!

I have the last of the McGanns after #100 to get and would have loved to get them this weekend.

Well, if they are stalking this forum, they probably do have enough time to idly watch, versus actually admin it. Way things go, there was a bit of...rowdy going on in the old forums.

LOL if additional Paul McGann titles are added to this weekend's "Series 9 Saturdays" sale.

I'm missing quite a few McGanns. Not seen Joe or Mark in anything for ages.

As regards Eighth Doctor titles I'm only missing Absolution. I'm crossing my fingers for a 101-150 sale one day.

I'm surprised at nothing from the MR being on sale since MR items seem to have been the main focus of previous birthday sales this year... On the other hand, a half dozen McGann items have been offered on sale since Halloween including the Mary Shelley trilogy.
No problem coming up with the money for the Dark Eyes bundle at normal price sometime except it means I have to save up a little just once instead of perpetually doing the opposite and seeing how quickly I can give BF all my money. It's a very foreign concept, this "save up" business, but it's theoretically possible.
Gotta hand it to 'em, I think that is a truly awesome picture of Paul on the News page.

See the UK might have got Capaldi and everyone from the new series but my little con in the US actually got to celebrate Mcgann's birthday with him.

I had actually been holding out on buying Dark Eyes in the hopes of a sale so this worked out well for me personally. However, Eight's audios are best listened to in order so I still have some filling in to do before I can hear my new purchases.
