Would you like The Terrible Zodin? I bet she's River's Valeyard. Terrible what?!? That famous in-joke, that character who is referenced but never seen or heard. tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Terrible_Zodin

Sounds terrible. I am bored of River bumping into different Doctors etc. Can't she have some of her own adventures which don't rely on shoehorning in Dr Who characters? To be fair, bumping into (and bumping off under Kovarian's plan) different Doctors is River's MO in the TV series, it's what the character was created to do, both in-universe and in drama terms. I'm just waiting for the moment River reveals her various former husbands include (no doubt for tactical reasons) more than one Time Lord...

According to Eddie Robson on Twitter, his is the Eric Roberts story. (Which would suggest via process of elimination that Animal Instinct = Roy Gill.) Don't you mean Geoffrey Beevers? He's played the Master at two different points in his lives, so anything is possible. 3 surely?

I am all for River having stories away from the Doctor and other Doctor Who elements - she’s had half of her range so far without him - but I think there’s scope to this Master set. I certainly don’t think her encounters with the Doctor is simple box ticking; they’ve all done different things so far. Personally, I think the best three stories of her range so far have been three without the Doctor.
I also think there’s scope to future series incorporating Doctor Who elements that aren’t tenuous; Brian, Nardole, the Library crew.
It’s been a fantastic range, long may it continue.

River and gramps Williams on an adventure together sounds really interesting!

So, Dreyfuss, McQueen and Simm for the next set? Along with a very harassed feeling Rufus Hound? "I'm not supposed to BE here!"

Can this and the Four Masters threads be merged into one? Both covering the same ground ...

I have never even considered the possibility that Big Finish would use Roberts as the Master. I'm guessing Roberts will appear opposite McGann in at least one of the Ravenous box sets or something else (The Time War perhaps). I find it hard to believe Big Finish had him record only one story. Roberts is a workaholic and, as Jason Haigh-Ellery said in that announcement, he works fast.

It’s smart marketing—maximizing the number of TV actors aims it directly at the folks who aren’t following the audios, and by choosing such a spread of Master actors, tries to spread that appeal widely. And doing it at Volume 5 subtly/subconsciously encourages the audio-timids who enjoy it to go back and check out the previous four sets. Very shrewd.

I was planning on pre-ordering anyways but if this didn't make for an pre-order the instant I saw it...
