The Seventh Doctor meets Iris Wildthyme in the Doctor Who Main Range tale Muse of Fire coming out in December this year. And to celebrate their new adventure, we’ve a special offer on our Iris Wildthyme stories.
The Seventh Doctor, Ace and Hex will be crossing paths with a certain trans-temporal adventuress and her faithful companion this Christmas time.
The Doctor Who Main Range tale Muse of Fire sees Iris Wildthyme crashing back into the Doctor’s timeline in Paris, 1922. With those two together in les Années folles, there are certainly wild times ahead!
Writer and creator of Iris Paul Magrs tells us about uniting the Doctor and Iris again, "Oooh la la! It's been a long time coming, but the Doctor is about to be reunited with Iris Wildthyme! They're both in 1920s Paris and everyone's flocking to Iris's salon. But wait...! What's that noise..? Thud thud thud...! It's the soft, approaching feet of a small and acerbic Art Critic Panda...! Hold onto your large, extravagant hats everyone, it's time for a not-quite-so Pure Historical from Paul Magrs."
In order to celebrate the return of the eccentric adventurer Iris Wildthyme and her companion, Panda, we have a flash special offer on stories featuring the trans-temporal adventuress.
Save 50% off any purchase of an Iris Wildthyme story by using offer code IRIS50 at the checkout. Please note, the offer code does not include bundles but these have also been reduced for the event. This offer code expires at 23:59 UK time on the 15th of May (TOMORROW!), so don’t miss out!
You can also pre-order Muse of Fire now at £14.99 on CD or £12.99 on download. All CD purchases unlock a download option via the Big Finish app and the Big Finish website.
Or you can save money by getting a subscription to the Doctor Who Main Range. When you subscribe you'll get 30% off the price, free specially recorded Short Trips stories, PDFs of the scripts, and extended downloadable extras. You can subscribe for either 6 or 12 releases.
Coming out next in the Main Range, the Sixth Doctor has a new companion – Mathew Sharpe, space pilot, in The Lure of the Nomad.
For thousands of years, it has drifted through space, unimpeded, forgotten, seemingly lifeless. Now, finally, it has been discovered.
Responding to a distress call from the mysterious hulk, the Doctor and his companion, space pilot Mathew Sharpe, walk into a desperate situation. The multi-tentacled semibionic Makara were tasked with renovating the abandoned craft, but now they’ve begun murdering their employers.
The Doctor soon realises that the Makara have been programmed to kill, but by whom, and for what reason? Finding out the truth will mean uncovering a secret that threatens the entire universe.

Panda's back! I can't bare the wait. Bear? Bear? BEAR?!
Also, Panda interacting with the Seventh Doctor, Ace and Hex will be brilliant. The Doctor will flummox him ("and I thought you were bad enough Iris"), Ace will pepper him with nicknames like Star Lord and Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 and Hex will put on a stoic face while it's actually confusing him.

Cannot wait for this one. Iris is always good fun, but having Panda back too is fantastic. I can’t wait for the TARDIS Team’s reaction to them.

I had hoped we had seen the last of Iris in DW.
Plus, will that make 5 in a row for 7 in the MR? Is that a record?
At least Hex is back - every cloud has a silver lining

Five McCoy in a row, plus Ace, Mel, Hex, Klein and Iris? What did we do to deserve this?
Very keen, but the scheduling this year seems a bit strange. We had the Fifth Doctor trilogy, followed by a Fifth Doctor one-off, then the Sixth Doctor trilogy, then the Seventh Doctor trilogy, followed by two Seventh Doctor one-offs. Just the way it worked out, or setting up for something as yet unannounced?

I'm fairly certain that Nick said somewhere that they were planning on moving away from the trilogy format and going to back to a slightly more random spread of Doctors/companions like the early days of the Main Range This would seem to be a solid indication of those plans!

Ooooh 'eck! Flippin' 'eck! Iris is back and just in time for Christmas luvs!! And who's our little furry friend then, tickle tickle. "Do you want a punch up the hooter, human imbecile?" And Hex! It's far too early in the day for splishy-splashy ('not for me it isn't luv, weh-heeeyy! ') so I'm toasting the wealth of good news with tea. And by Paul Magrs, brilliant. As Whovitt says, if we wanted proof they're going to shake the MR/MA up, this (and the UNIT trilogy) is it.

I know, 'Monthly Adventures' doesn't sound right to me yet either. Or the new logo blasted across them, grumble, grumble range consistency grumble...
It hasn't officially been the 'Main Range' for ages but parts of the BF website still call it that, so obviously I'm not the only traditionalist around!

"Oh my God" meets "Oh Ecky Thump"
I do have a soft spot for Excelis Dawn and The Wormery so another Doctor notched on the Bus Rail is good news.
I must say I'm liking the fact that the MR story types seem to be going back to old school randomness.

To me the MAs will always be the books. Miles Richardson was a character in Downtime, maybe he could come back for a UNIT set.

I would presume that the third story in the Warlock's Cross/Muse of Fire/As Yet Untitled "trilogy" is the Chris/Roz story that was recorded a few weeks back.
