Listening to Muse of Fire and LOVING IT!!
I'm not much of an Iris fan, but this is just a fantastic, fun, mad story. And this may not be PC, but I love Iris' comments about Hex's, well, physique. Ha! I'm always up for more Hex stories. While I loved Red Planets, this is my favorite 7 MR release since the last time we saw Hex in Shadow Planet/Worlds Apart.

Oh wow. This is awesome. This is very fun and well written. I also love the Iris VS. 7th Doctor vibe- both mysterious, both manipulating in the background, and with both you have no idea what they are really up to. Very well done. I agree that this is a very good 7th Doctor release. And it provided me with some much needed laughs. Now I just would like to have a look at those paintings of Hex...

I also like that they have toned down Iris a bit, so she won't be as annoying for some people.
But there are some amazing comical scenes in there for the whole TARDIS team, especially Hex.

They all get some time to shine and nobody is really sidelined. Great effort.

An odd exclusion is the music suite, which is somewhat understandable given the run time but strange it's not in the download folder.
A fun story, and I like that it's a holiday gone wrong rather than the Seventh Doctor arriving somewhere with a more sinister agenda. It almost feels like the season 24 Seventh Doctor in this way. The little nods to other Paul Magrs works and Iris Wildthyme stories was amusing, particularly when she realises the Doctor hasn't gotten to Hyspero yet.

And I need to hear the Doctor and Panda bringing the artists and creatives back to Paris. Sylvester McCoy and David Benson together hobnobbing it with the likes of Picasso and Salvador Dali is too good to pass up!

Hi guys, quick question: I would really like to listen to this episode because Iris and Hex are in it, but the last audio I've heard with Hex is "A Death in the Family." Is it continuity heavy or can I listen "Muse of Fire" without fear of facing spoilers?

That's nice, since I'm not quite ready to buy the next Hex trilogy yet. But Muse of Fire will make for a fine Christmas listen. Thank you very much!

Nah, not continuity heavy at all and I understood it perfectly well.
It is really A LOT of fun. You will love it.

This is the first Iris Wildthyme/Panda audio that I've listened to, and I'm already loving it!

I'm assuming, for lack of any better information, we're just going to slot this in after Shadow Planet/World Apart?

Really enjoyed that. The interaction between the Doctor, Ace, Hex and Iris and Panda was great fun. And the 1920s Paris setting was fantastic. My one quibble, and it's quite a big one, is that I was really exasperated that the Doctor jumped so eagerly to the conclusion that the alien was telling the truth, and that Iris was the problem. Maybe it's me knowing Iris so much from the past, but I just couldn't swallow that. And I was honestly angry at the Doctor for being so gullible! But yes, overall great fun. Would love to hear more from Iris and Panda. Please don't let this be the end of them.

...enjoyed the heck out of this one, though. I don’t usually care for Iris, but this was a solid, charming, rich story from beginning to end.
