I've seen other reports saying Favreau said seven years after *A New Hope.* Considering how quickly the Empire falls apart in the Disney canon, it'd be interesting to see what pockets of Galactic trouble pop up from the wreckage.
I'm more looking forward to Resistance, though. Dave Filoni working his magic in the Sequel Trilogy era.

Now that all of Star Wars media is canon, the words "prequel" and "sequel" have kind of lost their meaning....
In any case, I think both The Mandalorian and this series sound very exciting. Can't wait.

Although I've got very litte initial interest in either of these, the cast for The Mandalorian is fascinating - Pedro Pascal from Game Of Thrones and Narcos is the main character but the support cast is almost bafflingly eclectic - Giancarlo Esposito (Gus from Breaking Bad), Nick Nolte (in Star Wars???), Werner Herzog (!), Gina Carano (great in Haywire - she should be the biggest female action star going), Carl "Apollo Creed/Dillon fae Predator" Weathers... and directors include Taika Waititi of Hunt For The Wilderpeople, Thor Ragnarok and What We Do In The Shadows is directing some of it.
