Cheers

How do you post a link? I have tried but failed miserably. I copied and pasted the link into the box thingy, but when I clicked on the link all I got was a blank page! Could you explain it like, Posting a link for Dummies, would be very grateful, cheers

Could you explain it like, Posting a link for Dummies, would be very grateful, cheers It should be as simple as it looks using the link button. I'll do a guide later, but for now have a look at this link I created: Big Finish WebsiteClicking it should take you to the Big Finish website. In the link box, the Text is how you want the link to show in the post (in this case Big Finish Website). The Url is the actual link (in this case http://www.bigfinish.com). If you click on the BBCode Tab (below this post), you will see html code for the link (you don't need to know this, just for info). Hope that helps. Cheers Tony

Copy the web Address of the Link you want open a post in a thread here where you want to post it, WRITE something in the post BEFORE or AFTER you paste the Link, then Post as normal.

I want a HowTo on how to use the WYSIWYG editor to safely, cleanly and accurately to remove unwanted quoted text and sections.
Right now, after shouting at the editor for a moment or two, I just go into text mode and try to understand the markup so that I can edit it manually, not fun and requires concentration.

Unfortunately I think that's a limitation of the proboards software. I end up doing it the same way as you but it is annoying. If you manage to find a better way, post it Cheers Tony

Is there an option to change my birthday ? I just noticed that I’ve put my official birthday date on my profile. My official and actual birthdays are different (we do that at times school admissions ) and now I want to change it to my actual one.

I think your stuck unless you Delete and re-Register your Account with the correct one, or your could just have 2 Birthday's
Many Happy Returns for whichever one it is.

2 birthdays is a better option I suppose. Thank you, there’s still time I’m so used to quoting the fake one everywhere, it came by habit.

If you go to Edit Profile and Settings, you should be able to change your privacy settings. This includes whether your birthday is visible and by ticking the "change birthday" box so bring up your birthday. Cheers Tony

I suspect nothing can be done, but I've added a signature line and found it's retrospectively been added to posts I made several days ago. Is it possible to stop that or is it just a feature of proboards?

Is it possible to stop that or is it just a feature of proboards? It's a feature of many forums, not just proboards. If you add or change a sig, it's often added to posts made before the signature was added or changed. So you're correct that nothing can be done about it.

There’s a mention of warning levels in the forum rules thread. Is there a way to look up if you have one?

There’s a mention of warning levels in the forum rules thread. Is there a way to look up if you have one? Hi echo. All warnings will show up on your profile, though only you and the moderation team should see it.
