It's like living on alt-Earth when you hear people think we've heard enough Tom and Lalla stories for a while Imagine telling us that 10 years ago!

That would be awesome news.. Utilise as many of the companions that are ready willing and able .
Unfortunately(or fortunately) we got 1 season with Mary Tamm - I believe that season was originally intended for Elisabeth Sladen if memory serves me correct?
Variety in companions etc keeps things fresh IMHO
The season wasn’t intended for Elisabeth Sladen as such, I think that’s collating different things. I wasn’t in on the original plans, so I could be slightly wrong, but I think at least some of the thinking was that the Conglomerate arc would be a story for SJS, one for Leela, one for Romana 1. Meaning that only Sands was originally intended for SJS and the only one Mary didn’t do was the one she was originally lined up for. But they were all storylined and scripted with their eventual performers and everything else in that run started with Mary. Cool, thanks for clearing that up. Much appreciated

David Warner's Doctor in his own twice yearly series of boxsets. One of which just has to feature a crossover encounter with Tim Treloar's Doctor. The life that might have been.
Oh well, I can dream..

Yes, but the thing is why BF haven't jumped on it - it's a bit frustrating and baffling. It's possible it's either in the can or recorded and Big Finish hasn't announced it yet, though. I like to think that this is highly likely...

The Audio Adventures of The Paternoster Gang (However I would like to think that it probably will happen) Yes, I think it's the kind of thing that will happen at some point for sure. Then again if this thread were 5 years ago who would have guessed at John Hurt and Derek Jacobi having their own ranges, Tom and Lalla working together (on disc if not in person) or that *insert major BF news of your choice here* happened It's been a very unpredictable few years in the best possible way.

What is your usage of 'in the can'? It means 'recorded' but you've got them as two alternatives. I saw Matthew in a Nigel Fairs play last month. It - and he in particular- was excellent.

Mm, yeah, apparently the Stockbridge stories came from that same impulse. I liked the general ethos they built up in Voyager of: "Oh, yeah, the Time Lords are big and powerful, no mistake, but... there's always a bigger fish." There's some wonderful imagery in there (particularly if you can find the Marvel 1989 colour reprint, it's gorgeously inked). I've also got a soft spot for the strips that came after Parkhouse as well. The rotation of writers gave it a nice sense of variety. One week we're in an Asimovian mystery, after that a Hellblazer-like dystopia, then a zippy Fireball XL-5 episode. And weirdly enough, it never feels like too much of a jump between styles and tones. It all somehow clicks together rather snugly. The War Game story with the stranded Draconian warlord is a long-time favourite of mine and would be a magnificent Short Trip narrated by Frobisher. As would the "...'s Story" series which could have a different narrator for each chapter. But Voyager, World-Shapers and Time Bomb would be something pretty special as well. Kaon and his vendetta against Vegar, yeah. Weirdly enough, I was so entranced by the setting that it's become my gateway into the Conan the Barbarian stories. I like all of those ideas. Maybe the Stories release could have been fleshed out into one about unreliable narrators:

A Frobisher box set.
A season of 8th & Fitz.
A trilogy with Tony Selby returning to the role of Sabalom Glitz.
