This has to be the first example of the Wirrn in the present day. All other Wirrn stories are set in humanity’s future, around the time of Nerva. The Master obviously pulls some time tricks, but is he changing human history by introducing a threat early?

I'm glad they've finally taken a new photo of James Joyce for the covers - the constant use of the same image for the previous six box sets was starting to get a bit tedious...

Now for Warren Brown to go before the camera. He's actually had several different images - ones that spring to mind include Earthfall, Ice Station Alpha, and the cover for Silenced. Sure, maybe he could appear on more covers, but at least he's had a couple of different shots before

That cover is awful.
Looking forward to the Wirrn story, though. I like the idea that the War Master has left something behind, nice continuity there. And the Wirrn are a cool monster.

They could release this in a clear sleeve with the titles written on the discs with a pen for all I care this time - Chin Lee is back! Very, very excited for that.

Looking at the BF UNIT offers to tie-in with this release. Any thoughts on 'Tales from the Vault' at £4.50, bar the attractions of its all star alumni?
