Isos Network sounds as good as a missing story soundtrack
You won't regret your choices

The access code gave me a small chuckle. It's the little things. Just purchased The Third Doctor Adventures Volume 4. *taps fingers together* Heh, heh, heh... Marc Platt and the Cybermen, only good things can come from this. For anyone on the fence about their purchases, I can recommend: - The Harvest as a great technothriller and a solid introduction to one of BF's strongest companions;
- The Reaping for if you ever wanted to hear a mid-80s slasher film with Cybermen;
- Real Time for its dynamicism and the unremittingly hard edge given to the conversion process, and;
- Legend of the Cybermen for its sheer fantasy-driven inventiveness, and;
- The Silver Turk's "Go to hell, sir," from a Cyberman is worth the price of admission alone, if not for Eight and Mary Shelley.
Which I think might basically mean: spin the wheel, you can't lose.

Lee and Herring are in Real Time - recommendation enough.
It's got a lovely ending that I enjoy never having been addressed or concluded.

Might go for The Harvest/Reaping/Gathering. For 3 quid I can’t go wrong.

Might go for The Harvest/Reaping/Gathering. For 3 quid I can’t go wrong. Big fan of this trilogy. Not because the stories themselves are particularly great (The Harvest is the best of them), but it's just a great example of a trilogy done well. The stories are complete in and of themselves but all link together in little subtle ways that pay off nicely by the end of it.

I ended up getting The Ultimate Adventure and The Blue Tooth which were (surprisingly) the only ones I didn't already have. Most of the sale items this time around have been on sale quite recently so I probably picked them up then. Absolutely adore Liz Shaw so I'm looking forward to The Blue Tooth (it was pretty much one of the only Liz stories I didn't get in the CC sale a few weeks back).

Heh. The only ones I don't already have are the 3DAs (not interested) and the vinyl (I'm not paying $163 for any home media).
Great sale though. For anybody here who hasn't heard them, I highly recommend: - UNIT: Cyber-Reality - The Silver Turk - Spare Parts (especially this one) - the Cyberman series

Some great offers on items that i already have - around 50% off, which always gets me interested, except when i have already bought them previously on discount.
However, for those i have not got but would be interested, such as the Third Doctor Adventures, less than 17% off, and why is Hour of the Cybermen listed in the offers? Spare Parts Vinyl is about 12.5% off. Too generous, BF.
What I am saying is that the same old stock seems to keep on getting the clearance prices, whilst there seems to be less opportunity to get hold of more recent main range releases on offer these days.
I guess they want us to start paying a decent market price for things we actually want. Capitalism, eh?

Alas, I cued up the offer, entered the passcode, and scrolled down the page, every title except that vinyl one, had a green bar in it (meaning: already purchased) But for those not in my boat, go for it!

It’s kind of interesting to me that for a company that has been producing Doctor Who audios for 20 years, the amount of times Big Finish has featured the Cybermen is actually kind of small.

Espeially compared to the likes of the daleks (not that thats a bad thing, just an observation) I'd say the success rate is way higher with the Cybers as a result. I feel like a lot of the Cyberman stories have resulted from the writers/creative team having a good story to tell that involves the Cybermen (e.g. Spare Parts, etc.) whereas many of the Dalek stories seem (to me at least) like the creative team said "we need a Dalek story" first and then figured out what that story would be. I guess regular Dalek stories makes sense from a merchandising point-of-view.

Looking through the bibliography, it's impressive that Spare Parts was BF's second ever Cyber-release after Sword of Orion. Talk about a high-water mark. Also, looking at them just as text in a list... It's almost like each release is treated as what J. Michael Straczynski calls Wham Episodes, something that comes through and leaves this lasting impact on the viewers long after its left. I get the impression they're handled with a lot of care. The conversion process is always emphasised (often to Killing Ground levels) and there's a very visceral kind of horror to them whenever they emerge.
Haven't had time to go through all of it, but from what I've heard so far of The Tyrants of Logic... Oh, they're still making an impact. I've got chills and it's got nothing to do with the cold weather.

Still thinking on this sale.
Will definitely get The Gathering to complete the MR Cyber trilogy, but what else? Maybe Cyberman Series 1.
