Got an email from Amazon saying my pre-order of The Scent of Blood is cancelled Reason given: "Our supplier has informed us that this item is no longer available" That’s a shame. I was hoping it would be a Charlotte Pollard narrated story. Oh well at least India is in the next Ravenous set And I am still hoping that they will do the same with Charley as they are doing with Lucie. Although they will probably leave that until January 2021 for the 20th Anniversary of Charley meeting the Eighth Doctor.

The one line of blurb says it is set in Victorian Edinburgh but no details of reader, companion etc.

Cover now on Amazon. Really good. Nice to see 8's original look again. No details of reader yet.

I cannot put my finger on it, but something seems off.. It is the reader that will decide the purchase for me....fingers crossed it will be India Fisher.

I'm still clinging to the very slim and unlikely hope that it'll have Fitz, just because it's been so long since anyone's used him (last time was Company of Friends) and he's one of my all-time favourite companions.

On a related note, the collected Nest Cottage Chronicles was released on digital yesterday.

Bought my CD copy of it today from BD for an agreeable $13.41 CAD. It will probably take 5 weeks to arrive. In the meantime, I'll listen to my latest BBC audiobook delivery - The Elysian Blade.

Listened this morning, longer commute than normal. Very enjoyable.
Better than the previous nest cottage release last year, one of the better nest cottage stories.
Well worth a listen
(Intrigued to find out more about Mike and Deirdre)

(Intrigued to find out more about Mike and Deirdre) Nobody show her a copy of "Happy Endings", she may get a nasty shock....
On a more constructive note, listened to this yesterday, thought it was OK but disappointed that it didn't follow up on the last Wibbs adventure. I kept expecting the baddies to be working for Caligostro. And why, can anybody explain to me, *why* did the Doctor start using his device on the Captain(s)?

Not a Corrie fan myself but "Mike and Deirdre" brings an image of Ken Barlow punching Mike Baldwin to mind
