This sounds amazing! I just ordered it. So let's see... how many doctors has he been now? 3rd, 4th, 7th, 12th, 13th, and now 8th? I'm sure it will be excellent and a cracking story as well.

Does anyone know anything about these? Just spotted them myself. They appear to be in a series called "Beyond the Doctor"; could be anything.

'Kairos' is the name of a planet in 'Blake's 7', FWIW.
That would certainly be going 'Beyond' and such a crossover has been mooted before... *speculates wildly*

I am no SJW but even I think the sexism in Ben Steed's scripts is completely outrageous

Wow, the Scent of Blood is great. Dan Starkey does a great job voicing all the characters and at times you forget it is only him reading this. His 8th Doctor is not as good as his 12th, you can identify who it is supposed to be, but it is no imitation. It is also a very early 8th Doctor, maybe straight from the movie, because it is much closer to that than the later BF version we have come to love. The story itself is good, it goes along with quite a few vampire tropes, but also adds a nice twist in there. It is very atmospheric, helped along by some great sound design. The theme tune... not my cup of tea. They went all out on the Time Lord heartbeat rhythm and it is slightly similar to 13th tune, but for me it did not fit. So, this is a nice vampire tale which is made great by Dan Starkey‘s performance. Very enjoyable.

In my fantasy world, I found his McGann impersonation closer to the real thing over his reading of the Twelfth Doctor in The Lost Magic. Without a doubt though, Starkey sure is especially entertaining when bringing his read characters to life with his providing of different voices. I look forward to his narration of another Doctor Who audiobook in the future.

I think his best Who audio book is Silhuette, where he has to play 12 and the Paternosters (and of course Strax).
Rhythm of Destruction is also pretty impressive.

Sir, you are doing a MASSIVE disservice to how bad “Harvest of Kairos” is. As in, you can literally see actors losing the will to live (for example check out Jan Chappel’s face when the “beast” turns up). Darrow is pretty much asleep. And the budget, already existing mostly as “Wishful thinking and whatever Matt Irvine can steal from other productions” was stretched to exploring point BEFORE they got to making the monster.

Information at the Penguin website would seem to indicate these "Beyond the Doctor" titles are a kind of "The Companions of Doctor Who" audio original spin-off series. "The Kairos Ring" is said to be "a brand new story featuring the Doctor's former companion, Romana", and "Sleeper Agents" is described as "a brand new story featuring the Doctor's former companions, Ben & Polly". I think we can expect Lalla Ward and Anneke Wills to be on narrating duties for these two. The "Bessie" title could maybe be a Jo Grant/Katy Manning story? Possibly one of the UNIT boys.

Ben and Polly as one-off Tommy and Tuppence adventurers would be fun (and if it ignores Mondas Passing, all the better).

That would be sure nice if he does, but it's more likely not. Dan Starkey would probably be the best guess. He narrated the most previous 2 Capaldi era ones. Never say never though, David Tennant helmed the Doctor in 4 audio originals, Matt Smith did 2 stories, Colin Baker did 1 and if you want to include the Nest Cottage audios Tom Baker voiced 15 of those.

I see that all of audiobook originals (and the new Target novelisations) have been pushed back to next year on Amazon.
