If we're talking cardboard CD packaging sets. It's good news that The Prisoner is being released within what I feel is the superior deluxe LE "booklet" style over the one-off Frankenstein cardboard CD type of housing.
Having never viewed The Prisoner TV series, when the time comes without any demanding preconceptions, I'm assuming that I will ultimately be enjoying its Big Finish version.
If the potential success of this first BF audio release of The Prisoner merits a continuation of stories, it will be interesting to see what will be their CD packaging in the future.

Good to know where all that extra cost is going.

Good to know where all that extra cost is going. Yeah. On something I don't give a damn about. Argh. I can't believe I'm being so negative about something I've wanted for so long.

What exactly are you meaning? Are you saying that you've wanted a continuation of The Prisoner for a long time, but you're not interested in this Big Finish version of it and/or its physical packaging? Perhaps, you're a download customer wanting a lower price point on this product? What don't you give a damn about?

I'd only give a damn if I got a dollar for each time Nick Briggs has plugged it!

I mean I've been a fan of The Prisoner for going on 40 years now and for years have wanted Big Finish to produce audio adventures in that world and thus far I've seen & heard nothing that makes me want to purchase this box set. Remakes of original series episodes, a redone theme that sounds like all of Nick's scoring on Counter Measures to this deluxe style packaging. I keep waiting for something to click for me and so far none of it has. And frankly I'm pretty surprised by my reaction to all of this.

Remakes of original series episodes From your viewpoint, I probably wouldn't be enamored by that fact either. I've never had any previous experience viewing the 17 episodes of The Prisoner, so I'm guessing that I will be enjoying Big Finish's version of it. My hope for several years now has been for Big Finish to produce an audio version of Space: 1999.
