Julie Newmar HUGE casting. Wouldn't have guessed it in a million years. She fits perfectly and anyone who's heard her on the two animated Batman '66 movies from the past few years can vouch that she sounds great. Oh Wow I been away for a while...what great news !! I even noticed I missed a Dark Shadows sale too.Well only three CDS to get so not to bad. Roll on Bloodline

Good Lord, that’s a caring coup on par with getting Eric Roberts.

I’ve gone on record saying dark shadows does nothing for me, but that aside.
Julie Newmar is wonderful casting. She was excellent in Batman and wonderful in Metal Gear. I’m honestly jealous that you guys get get.

And hey, if Julie isn't available for further stories....get Lee Merriwether in. though getting Eartha Kitt would probably be going too far...

My word. Julie Newmar. That just blew my mind. It's hard to believe that Big Finish won't be wanting to use Julia Hoffman a lot in the coming years.

So any last minute predictions before episode one releases? Most of mine are pretty simple, and none will probably occur in the first episode, but: -Julia has lost her memory and has come back to collinsport to remember who she is. Alternatively, this isn't even Julia. -Vivian Bell- possibly an old flame of David's? Or a complete stranger. The person who suggested that she may be reincarnated Victoria Winters has an interesting theory. -More antics with the teen characters introduced in Bloodlust- I want more Jackie, Harry, and Cody, though the fact two of them have broken up may make that unlikely. -The death of Leila, Quentin's wife. -Tom the werewolf getting let lose. Considering we have a werewolf now it's probably a foregone conclusion but still. -The son of the dark lord showing up. The fact Cyrus and Sabrina are coming raises some interesting questions, considering the ending of Deliver Us From Evil. and finally: -surprise Angelique return. I don't believe for a minute that she's truly reformed herself, that would, as the writer of "dark shadows every day" would say- not be story productive or interesting.

NOOOOOOOO dont kill Leila yet .....we just haven’t had enough of her and David Shelby yet

Unlikely, since Eartha Kitt has been dead since 2008. Then again, this is Dark Shadows. Guess anything is possible!

It is a few days after the announcement and my head is still reeling. You guys finally recast Julia Hoffman with....Julie Newmar? Whoa! Mind blown.

One last prediction: we will see the return of Prof Stokes as we go to his house, into his back room to reveal Adam, alive and well and the mastermind behind a plot to kill Amy and David

-The death of Leila, Quentin's wife. NOOOOOOOO dont kill Leila yet .....we just haven’t had enough of her and David Shelby yet I hope not either but it seems unlikely she'll be sticking around for very long. If there's one thing that kinda bugs me about how Big Finish's approach to their audios it's that they feel the need to adhere to the canon established in Return to Collinwood which is a little frustrating. It means we know where things are going to go for a lot of characters to an extent which means we know what plot points are gonna matter and which won't.And since he's not married to her in that, well, it's safe to say she'll disappear eventually. But I agree, I really like their chemistry and hope we get a bunch of them. Unrelated to this, I find it interesting people were hating on the person playing Julia until it was revealed it was Julie Newmar. I'm excited by it of course but that one snippet was pretty disapointing. Of course maybe it'll work better once we get to hear her in the series proper. I hope so.

I'm excited by it of course but that one snippet was pretty disapointing. Of course maybe it'll work better once we get to hear her in the series proper. I hope so. Regarding Return to Collinwood (and some of the post-Bloodline short stories that are already out), sometimes you go into Dark Shadows knowing that Barnabas is a vampire or that Quentin is a werewolf because it's hard to even look up Dark Shadows without things like that being spoiled, and it's more about finding out the story of how these things happened. I think Lela Collins was a brilliant idea because she seems so different from Quentin's former flames in her own way. I used to be all in favor that he get back together with Donna McKechnie's character (and may still be) since she's done several Dark Shadows audios, but I have to admit that it was tremendously refreshing to have Quentin matched with someone who seems more of an equal. I too would love to hear more of them. I never would have guessed in a million years that it was Julie Newmar in the trailer, but maybe a disoriented Julia Hoffman isn't necessarily the best introduction to a recast?
