Kids not getting the help the need when they need it. This is a story I've spent my life hearing, given my own personal ties to disabled people, especially kids and how schools/meds treat it.

I can see their point, but it would be helpful to know whether or not a significant proportion of those children waiting are below 8 years old, as - generally - a diagnosis can't be made until that point.
“We’ve been trying in the mental health UK community to convince even the government that schools have just a really, really amazing opportunity to get better at mental health promotion and prevention.” Either this wording is clumsy, or the spokesperson for Voices doesn't have a clear understanding of mental health.
