Series 9 will be released in January and February 2020, with each volume containing two four part stories. It's set in E-Space, with Romana II, K9 and Adric, set between State of Decay and Warriors Gate. Series 10 is due for release January and February 2021, with Leela and K9. Again, two volumes each with two four part stories, including a prequel to The Sunmakers (Louise Jameson's favorite story she did on TV). www.bigfinish.com/news/v/the-fourth-doctor-continues

4 Part Stories and similar release pattern as next year's. so January and February 2020 and 2021 respectively
News Item says Adric is 15 is that the 1st time anything's confirmed his age?

It gives writers more room to work with in terms of fleshing out plot and characters. The move to consecutive month releases in terms of the volumes for each series is more confusing. A May release for volume 2 staggers out the Tom Baker we get over the year in the range.

I wish we got Series 19 Honestly, if they were announcing Series 19, I would be demanding a faster release schedule than one series per year, as that's just SO far away... I'm actually laughing at the possibility that we can even be pre-ordering stories that we know the name of(!) for Feb 2021... It's 2 and a half years away!!! I can't be the only one who thinks that's ridiculous (A good, nay, fantastic ridiculous, but ridiculous all the same )

Bit odd that they’ve made a big deal of announcing/introducing brand-new companion Ann for series 8...and now it appears that she will be absent from any releases for (at least) two years after that?

I wasn't too keen on the gap this year personally so i'm alright with the quicker release pattern and as you say 4 parters should provide more chance for secondary chartcers with depth and more Tom Baker in full flow

I wonder if these will be four one-disc cases, or two double-disc cases.

I wonder if the packaging is going to change into a format more similar to the First Doctor Adventures for these series as each story has its own download, whereas for Series 8, The Perfect Prisoners makes up two separate downloads.

I wonder if these will be four one-disc cases, or two double-disc cases. I can’t think of previous box sets that have been two 2 disc cases. The Fifth Doctor Box Set was five one cases.

That’s standard for box sets to have each story as it’s own download file. It’s happens with the Third Doctor Adventures, which has two stories over four discs plus the interviews disc.

Great news for Series 9. Looking forward to delving into this TARDIS team more and if the expansion of E-Space is anything like the expansion of The Daleks’ Master Plan, it’ll be really special.
Bit fatigued by Leela, but the four part stories is welcome, plus there’s a gap between Series 7 & 10, at least.
I don’t think a lack of Ann is particularly odd. We’ve been told Series 8 is more serialised, so she could be exclusive to that arc. Also, I guess with her being an original companion, BF might want to see what the response to her is first before doing more, or another original companion.

Or the move to only selling the CDs in sets offset some of the costs somehow.

If anyone knows it’s Andrew Smith. Anyone got a copy of the Target novelisation of Full Circle on hand? The infotext subtitles on the DVD might have this information. Speaking of Andrew Smith, he must have been excited to revisit this TARDIS crew and setting.

I'm very excited about these, in particular the prequel to The Sun Makers (my favourite Season 15 story and grossly underrated). Very glad of the return to four-parters as well.

Speaking of four parters, I’m assuming that regarding the Philip Hinchcliffe Presents that sales were low, potential storylines fit for audio were tapped out or that Marc Platt has been busy with other things.
