Katy Manning is in fact credited (and pictured) as Jo Jones.
Given the date, was the other news a BF April Fool or is it still up anywhere? Or will Katy be playing two characters and one of those characters possibly twice over in Time (and the other character possibly falling over at times, or at least wobbling a bit! )
The more Katy Manning appears in any of her roles, the better!
The Day of the Katy Mannings! Preceded by The Name of the Katy Manning that introduced the mysterious War Katy Manning. And coming this July, celebrating many years of Katy Manning on audio, the Legacy of the Katy Manning, featuring Jo Grant, Jo Jones, Auntie Iris and many more! It sells itself It's a winner! When can I preorder the bundle?!

I think you *may* be reading too much into an error introduced by the site move. I was just being suggestive with Auntie Iris there ('Oooh you cheeky so-and-so!') and had no reason to imagine her in 'Legacy', but thinking about it , perhaps Iris' name did appear because of a trans-temporal error ie: the site move and it should have been kept a secret for now...
Anyway, speculation is fun and 'The Two Jos' looks very possible, there Jo Jones is on the cover.

Looks like there’s maybe gonna be another Mathew/Brooke/Sheena style companion, this time for Eight in this set.

The Eighth Doctor is with a new companion in the trailer, and seeing as no new companion has been announced for him, I’m assuming this won’t be a Constance in the Last Adventure situation. Unless I’m being really silly and it turns out to be Mary Shelley or something, or if it was just sly editing that made it sound like that character was talking to Eight.

I listened to the trailer after that post and forgot to come back and edit. It's a little strange to me that NOTD!Eight has so many companions (presumably) during the Time War. I always thought that would be a rarer thing but there's Josie, Emma/Louise/Sheena, Bliss and now another? Like you said, maybe it's tricksy editing, or more likely, she's a one-off, perhaps the arch villain of the piece!

Or, as has been teased/ threatened by some of the writers (I still hope in jest), Liv and Helen DO die at the end of Ravenous and the Eighth Doctor DOES get a new companion.
(please please no, I do LOVE Liv!)

I mean, until Sheena ceases to exist and he starts travelling with Bliss, the Time War hasn't really kicked off yet, so it's business as usual, but with a new outfit because, idk, promotional reasons XD So I think at some point after his travels with Josie, the first skirmishes of the Time War start, then he picks up Sheena, trying not to get involved, but all goes to shite and ends up with Bliss before losing her as well and being alone again until TNOTD. Edit: Wait! I just remembered how the theory I currently subscribe to went. So basically after Josie, he travels with Sheena, but when the Time War kicks off, it retroactively changes the timeline so that she's not travelling with him anymore and has, instead, been travelling alone for a while.

After Sheena disappears and the timeline changes, Rupa says that when they first met on the ship, the Doctor mentioned losing someone on the planet they had all escaped from. I would assume that meant that he did travel with Sheena but she was killed in the new timeline, but then he doesn’t seem to remember her and seems fairly happy carrying on with Bliss instead.

I’m not sure that the voice would be the next Eighth Doctor Companion, though I do think Liv and Helen are leaving, because I can’t see them moving into NOTD era territory yet which is when Legacy of Time is set for Eight.
In terms of having companions during the War, I think Bliss is the only one he really has in the thick of it so far. Like the Time War is only hinted at in the Josie comics and might not have even started yet and obviously the Doctor and Sheena didn’t appear to be involved with the War until Starship of Theseus.

I just don’t think they’ll start using NOTD pictures on non-Time War releases for a long time, if ever. We all know what Big Finish are like with keeping gaps as wide open as possible.

Yeah but the Doctor doesn't completely change aesthetics willy nilly, there's normally some shake up in the status quo that comes with it.

When do you think we'll get more info on this? I'm guessing probably not until a couple days before release. If they kept the info hidden for the 4DA's Series 8B, I imagine their big landmark 20th anniversary release would be kept tight-lipped.
