Compared to the Fourth Doctor Comic Adaptations and Seventh Doctor New Adventures, this feels more celebratory.

Oooh. This reminds me I haven't heard most of the EDAs yet, need to get back into them. Also this comes out in July, as does the Time War Series 3. Two McGann box sets in the same month! AND he'll be in The Legacy of Time that month too! That's a guaranteed 9 hours of McGann in a single month (which is more than he's had during the average 12 month period over the last couple of years!)

Oh that sounds a lot of fun! And the Fendahl!! "'ungry for moy soul" I hope the TARDIS is well stocked with salt, and fruitcake for any really big emergencies. If there are twelve special boxsets next year one per Doctor, we can arrange them in a circle with 'Legacy' glowing in the centre...
I sees them in moy mind... BF are 'ungry for moy wallet if you ask me and no amount of salt will stop them...

Just noticed this - if you listen consider every disc of material coming out next July (including all Behind the Scenes discs), then this is how stands right now: Doctor WhoMain Range: 253. TBA (2 discs) Eighth Doctor Adventures: 5. The Further Adventures of Lucie Miller (5 discs) Eighth Doctor: The Time War - Series 03 (5 discs) The War Master: 3. Rage of the Time Lords (5 discs) The Legacy of Time (8 discs) Torchwood29. TBA (1 disc) That's a staggering 26 discs worth of releases!!! And that's all that's been announced so far! Any Doctor Who (and its related spin-offs) fan who doesn't feel fat on gluttonous greed come August next year has a serious issue

I wonder if the resting of underperforming ranges is to make room for these.

Absolutely! I like to try and plan my backlog listening around upcoming releases, and I have a list of all the things I've got pre-ordered/I'm going to pre-order, and I'm pretty certain a lot of my backlog isn't going to see the light of day in 2019

This year or next year? This October's quite busy for me, what with Ravenous 2, Torchwood: God Among Us - Part 1, and Blind Terror. I've decided to skip the Bernice Summerfield stories next month though, so I've only got River Song 4 and Shilling & Sixpence come September (which is tomorrow, coincidentally). Lots of Main Range, Jago & Litefoot, and New Counter-Measures planned to fill the gaps!

Also, I hear that The Avengers is quite a popular Big Finish range. You should get that as well.

I found it on one of his fansites while I was searching for more of his Sharpe audiobooks a while back, there are more here at this link. Makes me wonder actually, have we had a Napoleonic era Eighth Doctor story yet? I dont think we have Well, fabulous writers for the Eighth Doctor... We have an opening.

Since there’s limited material to work with (the conditions of the license are that only preexisting material can be used or adapted, no original stories), being rested isn’t as big a risk.

I'm only skipping the Benny stuff as I've only heard the first two volumes of her New Adventures (I haven't even reached her with David Warner yet!). I thought it would be better for me to be better acquainted with her first As for The Avengers, the releases are on my radar, but as I've already got all of Pathfinder Legends and the first two series of The Omega Factor just sitting around waiting to be heard, I thought I should probably hold off on getting any of the other Big Finish ranges until I've got a more regular listening schedule (as a disc a day is just so slow...). There's no point spending all that money now if I'm not going to get anything from having spent it yet

Not sure if the teaser aspect if this with will draw in many more punters, but as a dedicated fan, I immediately got out the old credit card!

I am surprised to see this is a jewel case, according to the product info page. (I also could've sworn the New New Adventures was originally listed as a slipcover, but now seems to have changed to a jewel case...)

How does Lady Christina get 4 separate cases and this and The New New Adventures get nothing?
