Wow. The first BF stuff I listened to was 8 & Lucie Miller. Bravo BF! This makes up for so much of the crap you have been releasing recently.

I am surprised to see this is a jewel case, according to the product info page. (I also could've sworn the New New Adventures was originally listed as a slipcover, but now seems to have changed to a jewel case...) How does Lady Christina get 4 separate cases and this and The New New Adventures get nothing? Jewel case suits me fine space saving

Maybes its cos Sheridan brings a pretty penny? She is far more renound than she was ten years ago and even then she was pretty renound. Might be to cover costs i mean it is £25 not £23 As for if i prefer slipcover or double jewl case thing It depends. It certainly saves space and Class which i assume has just one cover looks gourgeous as does the 3DA one from this year. Then again some like the the tenth doctor chronicles do look crap so it depends to me. Hopefully itll be better than some of the main covers for the 8DA range recently.

I find the decisions BF make about what is given a jewel case and what’s given the individual case treatment sometimes strange. As well as the pricing.
I have no issue with the jewel case housed in a slipcover; it saves space and I tend to prefer the artwork design on the spines of a thinner slipcase. I do think if a higher fledged release is given the jewel case treatment, there should still be individual covers, albeit as a download like Gallifrey: Time War.

The discussion of housing for our audio goodness has happened early.

I never realized that the separate art was download only. I really hope we get more of that. It makes a high profile release like The Further Adventures of Lucie Miller feel more special than the run of the mill boxset.

So if each Doctor is getting something special for the 20th anniversary, thst could be what William Russell’s recorded. Briggs as “narrator” for another ninth Doctor? Dudman for another eleventh? A WarDoc CC by Coral Ann Ford and Jacqueline Pearce perhaps? What about 12? A CC narrated by Alex Kingston perhaps? Or Matt Lucas?

Well I couldn’t sleep so I just got up and shoved on Blood Of the Daleks-you have to love Lucie Millers introduction. But now am thinking if i get up even earlier on a day off i can listen to even more, but i don’t think it will catch on.

According to the Lucie Miller announcement, they’re all going to be sets. I think the Chronicles solution would work for the War and Twelfth Doctors. And they’ve got the cast to do so. Surely you need something more for the Ninth and Eleventh, otherwise they’re just Volume Two?
Same goes for the Tennant and Tate recording this month (now we’re in September!). It’s Volume Three, but will BF count it as their anniversary celebration for the Tenth Doctor?

Oooh. This reminds me I haven't heard most of the EDAs yet, need to get back into them. Also this comes out in July, as does the Time War Series 3. Two McGann box sets in the same month! I wonder why Big Finish chose July, the same month as an existing box-set for the Eighth Doctor and The Legacy of Time Release!? There is no anniversary relating to July that I can see to be celebrated for the EDAs. Aside from the release date I am very pleased with all the other news around this announcement.

Now that I've gotten over my fanboy squeeing that Sheridan/Lucie is coming back, can we talk about the title of the set for a second? Specifically, how utterly bland and....just, beige it is? I hope it's just a placeholder until something better is announced.

There is no anniversary relating to July that I can see to be celebrated for the EDAs. Sirens of Time was released in July 1999, and that was Big Finish's first Doctor Who release. So July 2019 is their special Doctor Who anniversary month. Though it will be a bit overwhelming I wouldn't be surprised if all the special anniversary releases come out in that month.

So the complaints are A) the packaging, B) the month of its release and C) the blandness of the release's title. Yup. First world fan problems.
