I actually liked all of them, if I had to pick one favourite from the five I suppose I'd have to go for Unintelligent Design... Geoffrey Beevers wrote a brilliant story that makes you think and was also very funny at the same time. Although I do think all of them were good in their own way. It's a pity we didn't get more of them.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

I think I bought all of them during the 99/99 sales. I'm an old drama nerd from way back so I was looking forward to listening to them. My Mother Was An Alien... and Not A Well Woman may have been my favourites. I'd have liked more because they felt like steps in an interesting direction to me. Unintelligent Desigb was great fun but it felt a little "old-fashioned" in its content, not that I have a real problem with that, but the concepts it was grappling with are old SF tropes and that lowered it a little to me. It was good listening, though.

I keep on intending to get these. $14 for the lot sounds like too good a deal to pass up. Especially with Katy Manning and Louise Jameson involved. I'll do it tomorrow when I'm paid along with the Tony and Cassandra bundle.

I really liked them all. I think "Not a Well Woman" and "Unintelligent Design" were my favorites--but each in their own way were quite engaging. The "...Acid Bath Murderer" actually had me on the edge of my seat!

Now you got me interested in Unintelligent Design... the story and humour might be right up my alley...

Get them all...seriously they are cheap and not in any way poor stories. Unintelligent design is witty and is always a great relisten I have added it to my list of favourites(to relisten).Which have been updated. House of Blue Fire The Magic Mousetrap My Dinner with Andrew(river) Eye Of th§e Storm(river) Just War(Bernice) Hound Of the Baskervilles Panic (Dark Shadows) Flipside(Dark Shadows) Curse of Shurafa(Dark Shadows) Curse of the Pharaoh( dark shadows) Eternal Summer (Davison) Threshold(counter measures) Encore of the Scorchies(Jags and Litefoot) Phantom of the opera The Final Phase (Tom Baker) The Spectre of Lanyon Moor(Colin Baker) The Church and the Crown(Davison) and Unintelligent design Haha, I would, maybe next month.
Right now my audio budget for the month has been used up (bought the remaining Benny box sets on special! Damn it, I did not want to spend so much money, but that was a great deal!) and I still have quite a backlog of stuff I bought in previous sales.
Of your list I have all the River ones (love River) and I have already listened to The Spectre of Lanyon Moor (was quite good actually), The Church and the Crown (okay, but not as good as the Kingmaker which is my Davison favorite) and The Magic Mousetrap (which is interesting but also a bit confusing, I think it would warrant a second listen to get more out of it). Eternal Summer sounds interesting, I put it onto my wish list, together with Jago & Litefoot. And the Hound of the Baskervilles is right here in my backlog, I bought it because it is my very favorite ever Sherlock Holmes story (and this although I already have several audio versions of it in both English and German! I have to see which one is best... ).

Yes, I have listened to it... it is very good and very close to the original source material. It is my favorite Holmes story! But I admit that I like the German audio drama version just a little bit better- because their Holmes and Watson team is blowing Nick Briggs right out of the water. They are that good (even taking into account they speak the wrong laguage). No wonder they are one of the most popular audio drama series in Germany.

I really enjoy the Clive Morrison version from BBC but BF have definitely excelled with this Hound Version
