There have been one or two things released on a Sunday, but it's usually reserved as a round-up for the whole weeks news (for the benefit of those who don't check daily, which is fair enough really ). I'm pretty certain The Jago & Litefoot Revival was one such Sunday release

If that were the case though, you'd be asking "Why doesn't BIG FINISH release on a Saturday?"

If that were the case though, you'd be asking "Why doesn't BIG FINISH release on a Saturday?" Okay round up on a Friday and Saturday And Sunday release lol actually that would give me two days possibly of peaceful listening lol But there would always be someone saying: "But why don't they release on x day?" As someone who's always keen for the next announcement/release, I do tend to want to skip Sundays as there is so rarely anything 'worthwhile' to read about (as I keep up with the daily news). Not that it matters, as the way Big Finish release news/releases at the moment is actually quite good. The general trend (not pattern, as it certainly isn't fixed) is: Monday - news, occasionally a release Tuesday - release, occasionally news Wednesday - 50/50 Thursday - news, otherwise an 'event' box set (such as 8th Doctor, UNIT, Bernice Summerfield, etc. though they tend to be Who related, with other series like Survivors coming out on Tuesday or Wednesday) Friday - sale day, otherwise news Saturday - news Sunday - round-up Quite efficient overall, really

Maybe they want to time the release for when people in the UK are up and downloading. The podcast is probably a timed release to go up on the stroke of midnight, as is the Round Up news item.

Although i work shifts it would be kind of Nice for BF to release on a SUNDAY.I mean most folks could kick back and relax Ona Sunday and enjoy their release. ..because God told them not to...

I don't believe the website is entirely reliable in terms of advance scheduling and the people doing all the behind the scenes work would presumably like a life sometimes! It's only a small company in terms of direct heads and there are more hours in a day than people to go round!

Probably because the office and warehouse are presumably shut on a Sunday.
Do they ever release on a Saturday either?

They definitely used to tease the upcoming weeks news, but I don't think I've seen anything like that in almost a year now. It's a shame, as it was a good way of building some anticipation for forthcoming news EDIT: Also, where are all of @audity's posts? The conversation doesn't really make any sense without them...

Has it really been that long? Gosh, I'm still scrolling to the bottom after all this time.

This came up on the podcast once, way back when Joe was cohosting with Nick (before Benji). The gist of it was Joe saying “because I have to be in the office for releases, and I don’t want to work on the weekend after working all week.”
That was quite some time ago so I don’t know if it’s still the case or not, but at least from a technical perspective it still holds water: if there’s an issue with the download file, or with the website, or with peoples’ accounts having an error, suddenly you’re pulled into having to do tech support work. When you’re supposed to be taking your hard-earned weekend.
