Everyone nowadays is a critic... Start enjoying for yourself Elka asked for recommendations..."Start enjoying for yourself" works if you can afford it all and you're up to date, otherwise "buy it all, make your own mind up" ain't much use when someone is asking for help.

Does the complete set of Destiny of the Doctor have any extra stuff or is it just the eleven stories?

Well, that's interesting. But I don't think I'm going to pay for the whole set just to get the interview disc, as I already own many of the individual stories.

Yup. So I'll just pick up the few I'm missing at 99 cents a pop.

I'll probably do the same. At 99 cents, that'll be less than 11 quid for the whole set, as opposed to 15. An interview disc is not worth 4 pounds.

Mmm... Only item here I don't have (and might want) is the Companion Chronicles set... but I don't like the focus on narration I really enjoy the Early Adventures where they break it up and have a broad cast, but the few Companion Chronicles I've bought I tend to struggle through. My focus drifts too much as a single voice describes the action for long stretches. Can anyone advise - the release date on this CC set makes me hope it may be styled more like the Early Adventures and less like the normal Companion Chronicles?

Well, if you don't like the style of the Companion Chronicles, you'll probably find at least the last story in the box set not to your liking. As it is, I think the remaining three stories are very much more in the style of The Early Adventures than a lot of the other earlier Companion Chronicles stories. All the main characters in each story except the last have an assigned voice actor, so Frazer Hines is voicing the Doctor and Jamie, Anneke Wills is voicing Polly, Elliot Chapman is voicing Ben, and so on. The only characters who don't have a different voice actor are the side characters, so if you're bothered by Elliot Chapman, for instance, putting on a voice to play another character, then you might want to give this one a pass. And, again, The Edge is more in the style of traditional Companion Chronicles stories from what I remember.

The news piece says that the offers will "take you through the Doctor’s past lives, one life a week up until Thirteen", which makes me think there will be offers going on for 13 weeks. Being that Big Finish only has stories for Doctors 1-11 plus War, should we be expecting an announcement regarding something from the Twelfth Doctor's era? Or maybe a week will be dedicated to the Unbound Doctors? Or the Valeyard? Its confusing isn't it? It says one a week through 13 lives (so War counts definitely) but its a 10 week series and there's not much content to represent 9, 11 or 12, will they fill gaps will alternate Unbounds, or are we looking at a couple of shocking announcements very soon?

I was assuming that the couple of weeks between the end of the 10 eps and the Xmas special would be the 11th and 12th weeks (although yes, what they have in store for 12 is intriguing)

The 1st story is closer to the EA style certainly the others are more traditional CC style.
