Impressive that they've managed to spell both Lizbeth Myles and Neve McIntosh's names wrong

Aha - so that answers the Twelfth Doctor narrator question.. another Scot! "In February there’s a Twelfth Doctor (a first for Big Finish) historical tale that sees him meeting a female pioneer of literature. The Astrea Conspiracy has been written by Lizbeth Myles with narration by Neve McKintosh who plays Madame Vastra." Does that mean she plays Vastra in the story though? The blurb for THE ASTREA CONSPIRACY doesn't say either way but given the era (mid-17th Century), I'm guessing not.. unless there's a TARDIS trip involved for her. The blurb actually implies the Doctor is present so Neve may be doing a sound alike performance,

I would presume that Vastra *is* indeed in Astrea, as every other monthly Short Trip has featured the character played by the narrator.

She might be there as Vastra - how long do Silurians live? Most reptiles live a long time, some live a very long time indeed and Vastra must share most of their genes as we share most genes with all other mammals.
And the Silurians were presumably very advanced medically etc. so I'd easily believe they have long lifespans (even when awake!) And I want her to be Vastra obviously so I'm speculating in hope. Either way, looking forward to the story.

Neve and Sophie reading what appears to be solo Twelfth and Seventh Doctor stories is fine by me. I think that’s preferable.

Loving the new look to the range - seeing the Brigadier front and centre is fantastic.
Went back over some of the posts in this thread and like to see the different opinions about how we experience our Who. There's almost a sense of "We Love Stories - But Only If They're Being Read By The Right Person."
I wonder if there's a deviation between those of us who came to audio readings through Big Finish and those who enjoyed audio readings before they came to Big Finish, as I'm inclined to agree with the thought, I don't care who reads it, as long as there are more top quality Who stories out there. If you're really not listening to the "rarities" range because the reader isn't from the TV show, then you'll not care what you're missing. There are some corkers among them.
I supposed as a fandom we must consider ourselves blessed to be so wealthy for new stories told that we can afford to be fussy about who tells them.

I wonder if Neve is telling the story from the perspective of Aphra Behn.

The next four have been announced:
I'm most excited for the Titantic story (finally!) and the Harry Sullivan one (he has to become famous to survive?). And huge congrats to Selim, who we can now call a Big Finish regular.

I’m very much looking forward to #HarrySullivan in particular. The story sounds intriguing and it’s nice to have another story from my favourite TARDIS team. They’ve been well served this past year between this, Scratchman and the Season 12 BluRay. Louise Jameson is a lovely reader too.

As an aside, I’m wondering which Doctor will be left out of the Short Trips this year? #HarrySullivan marks the second Fourth Doctor release of the year, despite Big Finish saying we are getting one Short Trip per Doctor (except War). Perhaps we’ll get two in one month or one will be a multi-Doctor?
We’ve got the First, Fifth, Eighth, Tenth and Eleventh to go!
