I myself tend to slot the BBC audio plays, audio/books, and audio originals in chronologically with the original run of the show, and then listen to the BF stuff in release order, more or less. There's some stuff, like the Torchwood One releases, and Believe, that I'm not quite sure what to do with, as they don't really seem to further any of the arcs BF are building, or play into any long-term arcs of their own, but yeah.
On the other hand, it would be interesting to go do a marathon with all the monthlies slotted in where they go chronologically, and see how the threat of The Committee builds over the course of Series 1, 2, CoE, Miracle Day, and beyond. Still not sure where I'd stick the pre-Series 1 stuff though, narratively speaking.
Anyway, what's your preferred marathon order?

My preference is almost always chronology.
A few caveats: 1) I've never heard any of the BBC Audios or actor-narrated audiobooks, so I omit them entirely. I am willing to add them (at least, the ones with at least one of the main cast doing the reading) to my list, but as I'm totally unfamiliar with them, they are not included in my order. 2) In my own personal head-canon, books and comics -- anything that doesn't feature the original actors and/or creative principals -- don't count. So those are omitted as well, but in this case by design rather than by acknowledged ignorance. 3) I haven't had time to actually try this order out, it's just been reasoned and researched as things were released. 4) There are probably a few mistakes in here. It happens, and can be corrected. 5) I haven't listened to God Among Us yet.
That said, when I have a chance to do a full marathon, I'm going with:
1872 Doctor Who 202 "Tooth and Claw"

I'd like to do a watch/listen with everything slotted into their places within the internal chronology of the show, but it's already got so complicated, and there's so much new stuff being released, I haven't even attempted it. Thanks Digi for providing all that continuity! (I'm impressed you even included The Impossible Planet etc!)

Addendum: which Doctor Who episodes do you include in your Torchwood viewing lists?
There's the obvious choices, like Tooth & Claw, Army of Ghosts, Doomsday, etc.
But do you choose to include Aliens of London/World War Three, or The Impossible Planet & The Satan Pit, or The Unquiet Dead, and other such related episodes?
