I appreciate where Simon Guerrier is coming from for Graceless. It's two sheltered young women who have to fend for themselves in a universe where people are willing to exploit them and their abilities. Episode 1 does go a bit overboard, but it's set in a space station where vice and self-interest is how people survive, and what Abby goes through is because she's mentally susceptible to the influences around her. The actions she and Zara take, no matter how well intentioned, have consequences that they have to face. However the whole experience takes the black and white morality Amy and Zara had in Key 2 Time and swirls them into shades of grey, and all they have to rely on is each other. If you're after a more family friendly Graceless, that's Jenny you want. yes i started with box set two of Graceless ... I just dont want very dark storytelling real life is dark enough thats all.Am sure in the right frame of mind I’d enjoy it but its not what am looking for from Big Finish.

Well, TBH I agree, I was only joking. I get quite annoyed most times by unnecessary sex scenes in books and TV also. Especially when they are blatantly obvious only inserted to please the crowds. I am just like "get on with it....".
So yeah, not the target audience here. I have not even seen/ read 50 shades, because I think I would rather poke glowing red irons under my nails.
I love Outlander/Game of Thrones and Poldark one of them i would be unembarrassed to give to my parents lol. In the audios imply it by all means turn Jago and litefoot into lovers whatever just dont include the bed or kissing making out scenes lol just not necessary. Am interested in the Charley box sets but going by what am reading hahaha am now not so sure.I want sci-fi stories well told adventure action drama i dont need an audio of what Ian and Barbara may or may not have done in the Tardis just bored me rigid 😎 The Charley sets are devoid of sex scenes, the worst you'll hear in eight episodes is a single we're going to die so let's kiss on Charley (when they inevitably survive they both agree to forget it ever happened). Key thing I look for in relationships is emotional, chemistry and depth over random bonking unless the whole point is random bonking that is legit plot important. The most important scene in Terminator is a sex scene, but you feel like the characters have connected enough to earn it.

But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Avoid The Death of Captain Jack. There's a gag that runs for about five minutes somewhere of the first half of the story where a certain line is always followed by the sound of a shaking bed.

Jack spends the whole of The Conspiracy with his clothes on and barely any innuendo. Anything with Guy Adams is safe for the sex-averse. Even Broken is all about emotions, with no nudity in earshot.

I have no problem with sex, what turns me off however is juvenile sexual humour. I will keep these recommendations in mind if I ever start on the torchwood audios... as it happens, I had a chat with a couple of people at the Doctor Who fanclub yesterday and they also gave a heartfelt recommendation for the Torchwood audios (we pretty much had the same discussion there). I am softening already because next years episode with Katy Manning has caught my attention...

Why should that be a backwards sexual opinion? It is just a matter of taste. And as I said, I basically agree with you.

I wouldn't say it's pretty rare. The sex stuff has reared its head in many releases, including Aliens/ God Among Us (quiet a number of episodes from Aliens...), The Death of Captain Jack (as you mentioned), and Goodbye Piccadilly has more than its fair share of sexual humour, for a couple of examples. And I wouldn't say Guy Adams' stories are all sex-averse safe as such - Believe has a very heavy plot point revolving around one (which you might not actually hear, I can't remember, but I'm not sure that's the point in this scenario).

I'm waiting for some people to jump on this, maybe they will, maybe they won't, but I'm hoping against hope that this is the last hurrah for Ms Pollard. You had your time, it lasted too long, a nice coda and off the stage you go.

We may be straying from the point here...
It's not that kind of BIG FINISH we're supposed to be discussing.

My complimentary downloads from my haul at the event, which was purchased near the end of the day, have been added to my account!
So safe to assume everyone else will be seeing their's now as well!

I never bought anything apart from £20 worth of raffle tickets.....yes I did win......three times but only collected one prize don’t want to be greedy.....
Had a signed script front the early adventure the forsaken , worth much more than £20 to me I got everything else . They were selling...but digital..... and not really a fan of photos and autographs......
But gets love from me.....and yeah quad is a good venue, bit chaotic in the buying area but plenty of seats and very comfortable in the cinema spaces.... The whoville host did mention that they can only sell 240 tickets
Was very surprised at the number of people who said they didn’t like big finish when eves dropping conversations.......one guy made me smile when he discribed big finish to his mate as broken DVDs with only the sound.......
Hope they do it again, thing that surprised me was the amount of guests, brilliant effort by everyone.......but next time more news and reveals, to add to the excitement.
Only real gripe was the podcast format was a bit rubbish, and made me wish I had ventured into cinema two, and the mics were very hit and miss on the other panels....
