Several things to make my day: 1. Sale on Comixology led to me getting all 10 volumes of Sandman for $20.99 2. Saw a good friend before I left for Alaska 3. Leave for Alaska tomorrow. Don't be alarmed that I'm gone for 2 weeks and don't miss me too much.

Made my day: The dangerous, dreaded and infamous sliding glass door has been replaced. (In a final bid to take over the universe, it tried to fall on the contractors who replaced it). Three years of having pulled chest and back muscles half the time from wrestling it open and closed has finally come to an end, although it's gone on so long that I think this is going to take at least a week to actually sink in. I really thought I was never going to see the day, with good reason.
Not made my day: The usual. The previously mentioned "games" continue to reach new heights but if I can keep from dwelling on it, maybe I can have my spirits lifted by the awesome and stupendous Legacy of Time.

She maybe going in a years time, i told her i won't be around bail her out if she gets in any trouble so she needs learn bit of common sense & not mix her drinks. Ain't just that she has a medical condition where she isn't supposed drink a lot of alcohol, but what can you do? Sometimes only way to learn is to make mistakes. Good for you for trying to help her stay pointed in the right direction. I've tried my best & she knows i wasn't always a good, man when i used to hang about with troublemakers but she's on this path at the minute & approaching a crossroads i just hope she take right path & not the path i took at her age.

EDIT: 'Land of the Dead' that was, the one with the primeval monsters. Oh well, I've been mixing up 'Revelation/Resurrection of the Daleks' for 30 years so this is nothing new for me...

I mostly had a pretty rough day but Legacy of Time really did make my day. A quiet day to myself for it thankfully.
Also, I need to check my proofs, but while I was listening to Legacy of Time I was puttering around with my hobby of ancient metrology, and I think I just might have finally worked out something that's been eluding people for a long time. That would also make my day.

Yesterday was pretty good, 'The Legacy Of Time' and seeing James Acaster at the theatre I volunteer at (I can't say I've really seen any of his stand-up before, but ended up enjoying it).
Today haaaaaas been less than good. After a couple of days at home after her (almost month long) last visit, my Grandmother was taken back into hospital this morning after she'd had a fall before bed last night (spending the night on the floor). Thankfully the carers were there bright and early (we got the call about it at 7), so people were there to help her whilst my mother drove up there (we're only about a five-odd minute drive away). Tonight my mother and I were going to be seeing 'On Your Feet' at the London Coliseum (she won two tickets before we went away), but with this I'm not 100% sure we'll be going, which is fairly sad, as I know she was looking forward to it.

My copy of Ahistory (4th, vol 1) came in today and i've been peeking in it at work, it's a huge book with tons of detail on the timeline in doctor who (and a bonus Dorian Gray one!)
it was a steal for $6 on prime day, I can't wait to pick up the other two volumes!

Day 15 of my cold/virus/flu whatever it is.. Smashing cough medicines and lozenges and soups and all sorts of lovely tablets along with copious amounts of water. Couldn't take a day off work as my team mate is on maternity leave, he comes back next week. I am literally holding the fort by myself for all of Australia with my work skill-set. It's been interesting.. I complete the Urgent then Important work 1st, extraneous comes last.. I am almost up to date . C'mon 5pm today so I can crash hard tonight

'In London for the evening, head over to Forbidden Planet for a quick look round to kill some time before our show starts, and 80's 'Doctor Who' script-editor/writer Eric Saward is there for a signing session... It's the little co-incidences in life, it's the little co-incidences. <3 "'Revelation' was one of my first 'Classic' stories" "I hope you enjoyed it!" "I always do..." This evening I saw 'On Your Feet' with my mother at the London Coliseum. Whilst I would say that neither of us would have really wanted to pay to see it (we won our tickets out of a local newspaper), we did enjoy it enough. Apparently I'm the 'bad guy' for (politely) asking the person sat in front of me to stop taking videos (because it turns out that phone screens in a dark room are very distracting, WHO KNEW?!).... Good to know!

This week I...
1) Watched Spider-Man: Far from Home 2) Finally saw all three episodes of the "Invasion" Arrowverse crossover from a few years back (in sequence)
3) Started listening to The Legacy of Time
The Legacy of Time was the best of these three.
