Huge argument with my cousin, hope this doesn't affect the bond i have with my niece.
He being a selfish pr..k & since his dad (mom's brother) died over a year ago he hasn't picked up the phone or visited my mom once.
My dad has a eye operation Wednesday & because of my medication which makes me whoozy in mornings i can't take him in so i asked my cousin who is a taxi driver if he'd take mom and dad & he said no, my mom been good to him over the year's i can't believe his reaction.
That's what you get for helping him over the year's, pity i didn't say "no" when he broke his arm during a time his dad was recovering from a fall & i drove him to see his dad 30 mile round trip.
Again he had little money but inherited a fair chunk of money & gone to his head, forgot his roots.
I'm from a family of wealth & i can honestly say money is root of all evil, it corrupts the soul.

Honestly. I do not get why you are still arguing with these people. Just say a firm "No" and leave.
It is not save what you are doing, with your meds and your own health.
And, you are just making yourself the slave of these people.
You say your family has money, well, good, they can pay for a taxi themselves. Problem solved.
I know it is hard, but as long as you do not take a stand, you will continue being the butt monkey.
Been in the situation myself, and it pains me every time you post these things.

Today I am feeling like the stuff that gets regurgitated and chewed again by cows. My niece infected me with her cold. Sadly I am the only person in my office today, and I have to drag myself there to do at least the most essential work (otherwise, it won't be done before Monday). But I already told them yesterday that this is IT. Everything else will have to wait over the weekend. Going into work now will be a test on how much I have learned over the past decade and how good I have become on standing up for myself. I am quite certain I can manage to not getting roped into staying any longer than I feel capable. I do love a challenge.

It was my final day as head for the writer's group I've been coordinating since... *cough* August 2018? I imagine this is what seeing the kids off to college feels like. Well, technically, I'm head in absentia (that means "absent without a head"). I'll be there as creator and consultant, but I'll be taking a backseat from what has been every week for eighteen months now. (Why does Wolfie feel tired, huh? Let me think...) The team's amazing and the very last bit of training was done today, so they are well and truly equipped for whatever lies ahead. It's their domain now and it's a bittersweet feeling. They'll do splendidly. I'm sure of it. I'm leaving because I've been given three more projects to tackle ongoing for the year. One of which will be teaching. The universe keeps pushing me towards that vocation, so I'm just going to embrace it. Teaching it will be. It's another untested project, like the writer's group, and the challenge is fairly unique... You know, I'm rather looking forward to it.

'Not an especially great day for me either (various disagreements with my parents, having to shell out for a new satchel after the inner zip of my other one broke, yada yada yada), but I've just found myself a £40 joint ticket in the stalls to see 'Harry Potter & The Cursed Child' on my Sunday off from work next year, so at least this evening's perking up a little!

Right. Probation period up. I now have a full time job... a call centre administrator.
After yesterday's news... After 9 months... I am now allowed to write again.

Hello again. I have discovered a satirical beat combo called "Fascinating Aida". They started in the mid-eighties and the group currently feature Dilly Keane, Adèle Anderson and Liza Pulman. I enclose for your enjoyment, the OFSTED song, dedicated to all teachers particularly in the UK, working at the chalkface, who have had encounters with OFSTED or endured the constant change brought about by successive Education Secretaries of State for Education. Enjoy. WARNING: These ladies do use a bit of offensive language, the teacher in the song just gets angrier and angrier with each verse! www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnfE0lArq6Y

Ignoring South West Trains' efforts to the contrary, I've had a decent enough day off from work in London. I saw 'The Cloning Of Joanna May' at the BFI (with a Q&A with Patricia Hodge afterwards), which I found really weird and enjoyable (depending on the price, I'm tempted to get the DVD one day...) before heading to see "The Phantom Of The Opera" for the first time and, whilst I didn't have the best seat in the world (though as I booked last minute, what can I expect?), I did still have a good time.
'Got home about half-an-hour or so ago and am winding down over a bit of Youtube before jumping into bed (I'm back at work tomorrow... =_=)
