In many ways it was my favourite story from that first series of Sapphire and Steel. It isn't quite as gruesome as it sounds, but it is certainly strong stuff. Although not as strong as Daisy Chain, which proved a very controversial release at the time!

Dead Man Walking-reading its synopsis i think i liked the original synopsis idea by John Ainsworth.(as written in the Big Finish Companion)

It's a stunning range and if you can handle Daisy Chain or All Fall Down, you'll be fine with the rest including The Lighthouse. In fact, if you handled the end of Assignment 2 on TV where we get that incredibly downbeat ending but Steel walks away with a smile, whistling - completely ambivalent about the tragedy - you can handle this range. It has endings as downbeat as that but Warner's never quite as cold as McCallum was there.....though he gets close. I love S&S as you might tell from the t-shirt in my profile pic

yes been reading the Bf companion synopsis of the episodes Despite your reservations that some of them you may not enjoy, I'd bet you'd be hard pressed to find one that you actively disliked. 14 of the 15 I loved, with 'Zero' being the only episode that I wasn't so keen on.

I thought they had lost the licence but according to the Companion it was basically illegal downloads that killed the range what a pity

Audity - the Sheffield Space Centre has some of the S&S audios, plus some Tomorrow People, BBV audios (pretty much a full set) and all of Kaldor City on CD! And most are only £9.99. Give them a bell on 0114 2758905 if you want to buy at normal prices. Their website is being rebuilt btw.

I knew someone years ago who downloaded the entire BF range, the new releases went up within days of coming out too.
