I hate to be that person, but they look terrible. Like an off-brand model knocked together by a fan's dad.

So seems the Recon Dalek has had a repaint. I’m liking it.

I hate to be that person, but they look terrible. They look a hundred times better than those brightly coloured humpback monstrosities from a few years ago!

So if there's a story reason for it being that one somehow back again, that's fine then.

I've got to admit, I'm starting to get a little worried about all those returns from classic monsters. To me, Resolution worked really well because we hadn't seen anything familiar for the whole series up until that point. I hope Chibnall is not going to pull a JNT and put references to past stories everywhere from now on instead of telling new stories.
Probably just a stupid complaint though, I'm usually the pessimistic type so it's probably nothing.

Have Series 11 as the ultimate jumping on point with barely any links to the past and then in Series 12 bring in some elements from the past. Seems logical, albeit totally unsubstantiated.

Yeah, I think it may be just that. RTD did a marvellous job at introducing the classical elements in my opinion (I started with series 1 a few years ago) so i hope that's Chibnall's plan too.

Looks like it gets blasted - spoilerific additional image from the BBC: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-50152072Edit: love this quote (from the BBC itself, remember) - A spokeswoman for the BBC programme refused to say why they were on the bridge but said: "Watch this space".
