I am really glad that Ed Heim and maybe Vinay Patel, but please oh please bring back Pete McTighe. Kerblam! was my second favorite of the season and I want to see what he has to offer next.

If it's true, then that's another set of interesting picks. Prasanna seems like another potential Whithouse (actor-writer) while Asare-Archer is someone I spoke about last year. She's another fast climbing young writer who's gone from kids to big drama in only a few years, and now with Idris Elba no less. It's good to see Chib is committed to finding more left-field and underrepresented writing talent, and it wasn't just relaunch novelty.
As for Patel being at that studio, that's pretty thin: the piece acknowledges it's used for multiple shows, so he could be getting his own stuff filmed there, as much as it's his second possible Who story.

The Mirror is reporting that Doctor Who will be returning to its usual Saturday night spot for Series 12 after a steady decline of viewers last time on Sunday nights. Personally, I quite liked the Sunday scheduling as it meant enjoying the weekend right until the end! As has been mentioned also, Sunday night does seem to be the place for all the big dramas now, with families more more likely to gather round together than on a Saturday night. Any new thoughts on whether this would be a good move? www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/dr-who-set-massive-change-14056400.amp

I'm not surprised. This past season was low rated and poorly reviewed.

Whenever a nameless 'insider' is quoted, I get suspicious! I doubt even the BBC have decided on how to schedule a show that is a whole year away from broadcast. I think Sunday is a 'safer' place for Doctor Who ratings-wise, even thought I prefer it as a Saturday night show.

Although it is worth considering that The Mirror were the ones who first (correctly) reported that Doctor Who was moving to Sundays - only time will tell, it always does!
