Not sure who to contact about this, but thought I bring it to attention. Wanted to share something with everybody but I am of now unable to upload anything. I get an error message saying "This forum has reached attachment limit".

Can confirm. I just tried this, first with a 787 kb gif, then with a 19.3 kb jpg -- to check whether it was a filesize issue -- and got the same error for both files.

OK, I did some digging, found some admin tools for managing this, found them to be less than helpful.
Right now, the only options we have are
1) delete all the old attachments allowing new ones to be posted 2) disable all attachments 3) do nothing, leave people with the error whenever they try to upload 4) continue to dig around the needlessly complicated labyrinth of Proboards admin tools in the hope of discovering the advertised "upgrade" options, however if/when we do, there is going to be a real life cost ($£) involved.

*claps hands* In the meantime, we've successfully dropped the attachment limit by a couple megabytes by deleting a few old images from my account (nothing that'll be missed). You're free to upload any new images while we work on coming up with a more permanent solution to this particular conundrum.

And I'm guessing that 'delete attachments older than x days' is one of those stupid paid options, right?

General announcement, folks:We've a maximum of 200MB we can use as onboard storage, which we've filled up to 96% since the site's inception. Some of those images are superfluous, others are items of fanart and important to the flow of current/preexisting conversations. Neither of which we'd particularly like to remove. As a solution, we're recommending our fan artists and photographers backup their content using one of the free image hosting sites from this list here. Platforms that allow you to link directly across to the forum by posting images as a link. (I'd recommend PostImage as it's optimised for use on message boards like the one we're using now.)

We'd have to pay to find out... That's...perfect Oh, isn't it just...? Some days getting anything to work around those upgrades is just like backflipping into a bog. The lead-up takes a lot of practice and, if done correctly, *WHUMPH* the end result vanishes with nary a murky trace.

The literature talks as if you can get a quote on upgrading the storage allotment? www.proboards.com/admin-guide/upgrades/file-storageThe Manage button will take you to a page where you can view your attachments status, modify settings for attachments, and see a listing of all attachments on your forum with the option to delete an individual or all attachments. The Increase Storage button offers various storage plan upgrades. Please note that this is a recurring monthly subscription and not a one time charge. Increasing your storage will automatically increase the total bandwidth as indicated on the purchase page. If they have a reasonable offer, I might be able to pitch in a few dollars a month for awhile?

It's actually pretty good. Might even be better than the forum actually because uploads go through image compression to fit here anyway. Postimage allows for direct upload of the common file formats, there's no need for an account and the image quality looks like this:

Be a shame to lose the whole thread.

Thank you very much! Good, that means I better sign up for whatever this "postimage" thing is.
However, I would also be willing to chip in a couple of Euros a month if we decide on any payment option.

Gosh the 6th Doctor looks awesome in that. On one of the DVDs of Classic series they have a video of Colin in that costume and it does look great you can almost see the tears flowing in his eyes...am sure he wished they had done it like that

It happened to me before where I was posting images of the covers of what I was listening too I just went back and deleted them and it solved my problem
