This is brilliant news - I just found the news myself and came here straight away to see what people were saying! The stills look fantastic, and I'm so glad that it's being released both in colour and in black and white so there's something for fans of both. I know it'll be a long way off yet, but maybe one day we'll finally get all of the missing episodes in one form or another... yes, one day!

One of my all-time favourite stories!!! Roll on March! (Or April, or whenever-the-hell I'm able to watch it in Australia ) They better not make the Macra move like they do in the Facebook video though - they gotta look authentic

So will you be choosing to watch in colour or black and white?
Me, I'll go for black and white.

The Shada Steelbook had the bonus disc with quite a lot of extra goodies, including the first place to get the McGann Shada on disc, wonder what this will have, if anything, to make the steel more enticing.

Honestly, I haven't even watched Power in colour, I like the black and whites to stay that way but commercially making a colour one gives them options on selling it on so I'm all for it. Is this getting a US release? Don't think Power or Shada did on bluray did they?

Brilliant news. I was going to just get the DVD, but those colour images and the sense of scale might make me inclined to get the steelbook!
The art style looks like a DWM strip; love it.

"There ARE such things as Macra on DVD! There ARE such things as Macra on blu-ray!"
Or at least there very soon will be. Great news and a definite steelbook pre-order for me. I enjoyed the colour version of 'Power' and I like having the choice of versions.

Sweet.
Anyone know off hand how long it was between the Power Of The Daleks and Shada redos coming out on DVD/BR and showing on BBC America?

The 'universal' Shada Blu-Ray for Shada I had didn't work. I had to refund it (though I have a memory of asking people here if they wanted me to mail it to them, and I thought I had. But my emails contain a refund thing from Amazon so......so my memory must not be all that great).
The Shada DVD I bought instead plays at home. So does Power. I'm in the US. I'm not sure off the top of my head which region each is for, since I dedicated our TV's Blu-Ray/DVD player to region one, and my computer (using an Apple Superdrive) to your region. The latter being because after 5 uses of a region, I think it locks-in to only read that region's disks.

Whilst Amazon's prices for the various versions will likely drop and they have a pre-order price promise, that's not the case with Zoom. So with Zoom, including the 10% discount, the steelbook is £26.09. HMV have the steelbook at £24.99 which also gets purepoints (I'm just a few thousand points away from being able to cash them in for a £50 voucher - braw!!).

Wonderful news, a nice little oeurderve while awaiting Series 12 and, hopefully, a sign of something more for the future.
That said, while it's unlikely they'd do it anyway, I won't shed a tear if this doesn't get even a one-off theatrical screening. With all possible respect to the hard working team on Power, there's just no way to slice that animation making sense on a big screen.
