Sneaky peak at script release TimeLord 1-you know am raging. Time Lord 2-i know what you mean,am ragin too Am hooked I actually think I might really enjoy this. I am not tempted at all by the 2nd War Master set, but if the Doctor is there to balance out the evil a bit, it might be my cup of tea.
And I could listen to McGanns sexy voice all day to be honest... I think yes the one with McGann will be better for you but you know this is the Master so it was good they didn’t turn him into some kind of hero it really would be the wrong approach listen to one story then play a River and that balances it out

Even Missy did never become a hero, and her "good" is best questionable.
Also, the Master has a history of working together with the Doctor when one of his schemes fails (see the Delgado Master and the Third Doctor), only to do some backstabbing at the next best opportunity.
This has the potential of being great.

I think that was about the amount of Master evilness I could handle, in a nice 30 min package. It was utterly creepy and VERY close to home. It made my skin crawl.

Has anyone else read the article on the Fansided (Doctor Who Watch) website where the chameleon arch watch was compared to Clark Kent’s glasses and could thereby offer an explanation as to how the Doctor could meet the War Master, but still not recognise him in Utopia?
Firstly I would recommend the article, it is well written and an enjoyable read Secondly I love the basic idea, for me it makes perfect sense Thirdly I hope Big Finish have already thought of it and a true meeting is already planned between Paul McGann’s Doctor and Derek Jacobi’s Master in The Rage of the Time Lords.

I haven't read that, but sounds about right if you think about it. I mean, if the Arch can hide itself via a perception filter of sorts, surely it's not impossible for the same filter to alter one's perception of the wearer? It reminds me of the modified TARDIS keys the Doctor made for Jack and Martha. You know they are there, you just don't care.

I'm not concerned. After seeing how the War affects the Doctor during The Starship of Theseus, nobody else should be either, tbh.

That would explain why the Family Of Blood, who presumably had descriptions of the Doctor and Martha, didnkt recognise John Smith as the Doctor. Of course, the simple answer of “the Doctor didnt recognise the Master’s body without his beard” is probdbly too simple.

Well I guess Eight’s memory is about to take another battering. Hopefully this will continue the high standard of the first two sets. Oh man... his poor brain... if you count all his media (which I do) he’s the slyest and absent minded of them all.

That a meeting of Derek Jacobi's Master and Paul McGann's Doctor is high on my list to buy before the Summer is without question.
That I'll probably wonder what might have been if John Hurt had still been with us to play the Doctor is also without question.

If i hadn't of already pre-ordered it the War Master Vs the Eighth Doctor would've had me departing with those Lizzie Windsors very quickly.

Wonderful as Jacobi and Hurt facing off would have been, it being McGann does fit slightly better with the idea of the Master running away relatively early in the war as suggested in Utopia and End of Time.

The title is a misspelling, it’s the Rag of the Time Lords and it’s rhe Master and the Doctor versus a tabloid newspaper on Gallifrey.
