For the first time: The House By the Sea. I have a feeling I know whoâs behind dear Geraldâs troubles and I feel really bad for the guy. realizing that the Blue Whale is full of ghosts was great

Currently listening to The Haunted Refrain which is interesting especially considering it doesnât quite follow straight on from the previous Quentin story.
Also when I listened to The Last Stop I really enjoyed the fact that itâs just Tony and find it interesting that if Tonyâs a Trask he may be the only Trask Iâve seen that isnât evil (Ive only gotten to the Leviathan story arc though).

For the first time: The House By the Sea. I have a feeling I know whoâs behind dear Geraldâs troubles and I feel really bad for the guy. {Spoiler} realizing that the Blue Whale is full of ghosts was great Yes, dear Gerald certainly is no match for Tzim-Sha of the Stenza. One of the great things about this story is that Colin's voice is automatically very reassuring to me courtesy of his role as The Doctor, but he's such a great actor that he can just take that and turn it completely on its head here and just be completely and automatically unnerving. I almost wish House By The Sea story had been my first Dark Shadows, what an amazing way that would have been to have started meeting the local folk of Collinsport. So Dreaming on the Water is a bit of a ftrip. Like who is Sebastian Shaw in the TV show and is he this crazy? I'm still trying to think of what to say to this that isn't very spoilery. Can I say that Sebastian Shaw comes along a little before the 1840 storyline without it deserving a spoiler button? (Speaking of Tim Shaw, I fancy that Tim and Sebastian should be related since naturally I think everyone with the same last name in Collinsport should be related starting with the Collinses, but I don't think that question has ever been addressed?)

Actually itâs quite a shame theyâve never done anything with Tim Shaw since Don Briscoeâs dead. Heâd be a fun character to follow up on. Currently on Beyond the Veil which has me interested considering Eveâs in it.

Currently on Beyond the Veil which has me interested considering Eveâs in it. While probably not what you're looking for, there is a scene with Rachel Drummond and Tim Shaw in The Crimson Pearl. It nicely bolsters part of a Worthington Hall plot line. They cleverly use a door to muffle "Tim's" lines while letting Kathryn Leigh Scott reprise her role and provide the explanation. It certainly would be interesting to officially connect the two Shaws, or even more importantly in my mind all of Jerry Lacy's characters (the Trasks and Tony Peterson). I like to imagine that Tony's mom would have been played by Clarice Blackburn (Mrs. Johnson/ Minerva Trask) in another terribly unflattering wig, maybe his grandmother was Charity Trask.

Last week I listened to the Quentin/Maggie boxset. I love the actors and the characters and the writing was excellent, but did anyone else find the whole thing a little, well, odd? I mean odd for Dark Shadows?

I mean odd for Dark Shadows? Not at all. Can you elaborate? Itâs closer to the âDark Shadowsâ feel than the Tony & Cassandra Mysteries (which I have actually grown to really enjoy, after my initial reluctance to warm up). Maybe itâs the love story that you think feels different? It reminds me of the initial premise for DSâa gothic romance/soap.

Iâm back at school so Iâm getting a lot more listening time in.
The back half of Bloodlust - Just as good on delisted as the first go round Panic - Nice to see Quentin get a good love story and I love the framing with Tom (Iâm really glad both Cunningham boys are back in Bloodline) The Curse of Shurafa - Hearing glimpses of Grayson Hall are a treat and I like the reparte with Barnabas and Harry In the Twinkling of an Eye - again Marie Wallace is always great

Maybe it was part of the show and I've not seen most of it, but Quentin and Maggie never seemed like a likely couple to me. Did I miss something? Cause I don't remember those two ever being a thing.
