Be great if this is accurate but, as you say, we've been here before. It was listed on Amazon a few years back, plus I would expect it to be published as a book at the same time if it is coming out. But who knows?

Oh, I do hope this is happening. Since it's Tegan's farewell story, it would be lovely if Janet Fielding did the audiobook.

If it gets a PB release i would like to see it get an Andrew Skilleter cover art with Neon logo, flush fitting with The Awakening, Warriors of the Deep, Caves of Androzani, Planet of Fire and Frontios. At least Clayton Hickman issues printable templates for the correct spines.
Its like reversible covers for latter day DVD's, and fan made DVD covers for the missing episode soundtracks - immensely satisfying to finally plug a gap after 30 or more years.
Or would it follow the fashion of Shada, City of Death and The Pirate Planet older reader targeted demographic? As an Audiobook it is worth noting that David Fisher produced an audio exclusive novelisation of Androids of Tara unconnected with Terrance Dicks target book version, whilst An Unearthly Child was to have received an exclusive new reading by William Russell, not based on Terrance's novelisation, but was scuppered by rights issues (as far as i know).
So it could be an audio only adaptation by Eric Saward not connected to BBC books.

Not that this proves anything, but the audiobook is on Wikipedia

It'd be lovely to see them done after all this time. However, if it does turn out to be another false positive, there are the two Target-style novelisations from the New Zealand Doctor Who Fanclub floating around to tide us over until the genuine articles pop up. Resurrection done here and Revelation here. The former is modelled off Ben Aaronovitch's Remembrance adaptation (the Supreme Dalek there, for instance, is the same one from Spiridon) and the latter has a few scenes shuffled around to make the Doctor more central.

Hand on my heart, I wouldn't mind seeing more of Season 22 Six in some form, even if it's just an expansion of an existing story.

Stephen Gallagher is producing a new novelisation of Warrior's Gate that will be audio only, so I think that might be a good sign...

I would expect it to be published as a book at the same time if it is coming out. But who knows? That's not historically what happens with those ones so no reason to expect that. If they decide later to print David Fisher's Stones of Blood and Androids of Tara, the unedited Warriors' Gate, this, and (if they can sort the rights issues) the new Unearthly Child then that will be a follow on decision, not part of the original plan.

Well it's not a NEW novelisation, it's a return to the ORIGINAL novelisation before JNT demanded changes.

Still sets a precedent that there's intrest in revisiting stories in prose format, specifically eighties Who. I'm not getting my hopes up too much, but Warriors Gate wasn't a story I'd imagine there was a great deal of intrest in, revisited or not.

I know we've got a VERY faint chance, but I'm hoping one day the right issues with the Coburn estate will be resolved and we'll get to hear Nigel Robinson's take on An Unearthly Child.

I have no idea what new precedent you think has been set there. It's at least the fifth time the audio range has planned something different to just a reading of the printed novelisation. And you imagine wrongly about the level of interest in Warriors' Gate. People have - famously - been asking for the original version of the Warriors' Gate text pretty much since the truncated version was published. Gallagher himself has said many times that he's been asked many times over the years to reassemble the longer version from the original paperwork.

The same site also has a completely legal free digital copy of Who Killed Kennedy with writers notes.

Seconded. "Interesting!" as Five would say. *rummage* *rummage* *rummage* I've tracked down a pitch on the Vworp! Vworp! public Facebook group: Did a bit of digging after that and there's this tweet from the company in question: Oh, it's happening.

Nice sleuthing. I'm happy the old school Who practice of spinning off whatever character you own is alive and well. Beryl Vertue must be proud. (Also with Saward doing a Lytton series, can Richard Mace be next?)

(Also with Saward doing a Lytton series, can Richard Mace be next?) A noted Thespian sceptic, fallen on hard times, coming to grips with the knowledge that there are more devils in heaven and on earth than were dreamt of in the darkest fevers of the slickest plague houses. I'd buy it.
I'm certain that the original Richard Mace radio dramas (preceding-The Visitation by a while) must be lurking around the internet somewhere. All about street crime in the 1890s, under the titles: The Assassin and Pegasus.
