It's a shame this is destined for obscurity, because "Where does the truth lie?" needs to become an Internet meme. With that much scenery-chewing, it's no wonder they have only the one set.

The London screening seemed to go very well, loads of pics on Facebook with a lot of people from the wider Who world turning up and/or donating for the charity auction. The Derby screening with Nabil and Sophie is tonight, I think, in the same building BF Day is held. Anyways..the bluray arrived this morning. Still wish they went with the original painted cover personally but that was an event exclusive and came with a blank back so you could get it signed by the whole cast and crew. The PG is for "drug misuse references" according to the BBFC.

Keith's been posting about it a lot on FB. Nabil gave Corbyn a copy at a rally. What an odd thing...

Not really. Regardless of anyone's political view, Nabil Shaban and Jeremy Corbyn go way back, and it's pretty natural (I should think) to give your mates copies of things you've done.
The most interesting thing about this story is that all the subsequent photoshoppings of other political leaders holding DW-related ephemera look far more natural than the way JC held the DVD in actual real life. Just lucky it wasn't a hot dog, I suppose....

I agree - much as I dislike Corbyn for his ideologies, I thought it a nice touch the way he seemingly held the Blu-Ray prominently for the benefit of Nabil (I think it was deliberate). No problem with that and I am not such a sourpuss to dislike something because I do not agree with the actor, or author of a work. Though sometimes a line must be drawn....

A nice one - Nabil Shaban at the Scottish Mining Museum event: Again - good to see him there and one cannot begrudge his Labour activism - the Conservatives have a shameful record regards universal credit and benefits entitlements for people with long term disabilities. But all that belongs to a different thread, as I am aware.

The middle of the most contentious election we've seen and what pops up but Sil on bluray. Yes...I'd say that's an odd event. If it was well known that they were friends, sure, not that unexpected but did anyone expect these headlines a week ago? No. I don't think Jeremy Corbyn promoting Doctor Who spinoff media was something I saw on my horoscope anyway!

So, Nabil Shaban is great in this. Slips back into the role so easily but that's where enjoyment ends. It's just so dull, just people standing around talking. Boringly directed with little tension. A really flat production that would probably be better suited to audio.
