This is probably a shot in the dark anyway, but I'm playing trumpet in a production of The Pirates of Penzance and for the score they have decided to use the original Sullivan score. The issue is that for the trumpets it is written for Trumpet in A in places and Trumpet in B in other places and I play trumpet in Bb. I understand how to transpose the actual notes, but I'm not sure how to transpose key signatures, so can anyone help?

I'm sure there are probably some trumpet teachers who have posted handy cheatsheets on their websites or to youtube.

Not quite sure what you mean, but I could have a go since I don't know any better than to meddle in these things.
Assuming that's B flat Major, A major has 3 sharps: F#, C#, and G# respectively, and B major has 5 sharps: F#, C#, G#, D# and A# respectively. If B flat minor, A minor has no sharps or flats, and B minor has two sharps, F# and C# respectively.
Is that anything even remotely like what you meant?
