Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere.. but does anyone know why there isn’t more Classic Who on Apple’s iTunes? I had thought the Beeb might have slowed this down when it launched its BBC store (which was looking very hopeful for Classic Who). However the BBC store is now long gone and Itunes has hardly expanded its range apart from a rather overpriced Tom Baker season and Shada and a few other restored stories. I’m hoping someone will say, “Not to worry, there’s more just around the corner and at a reasonable price”... could be wishful thinking on my part, but I can but ask.
I’m slightly worried in posting this that someone will say “Ah, but all of Classic Who is on streaming service X, bit of a shame you actually bought all that stuff, why don’t you sign up to that instead?”, but better to know I think!
Thanking you all in advance!

Which region are you looking at, I know that there is a bunch on the Canadian store (rather horribly organized, but still)

That’s a really good point. Sorry should have said, I’m on the U.K. version of iTunes.

I have the same issue with the German iTunes. I bought a few in some packages (like the "Sontaran Package") a while back, but these offers have since then disappeared from the store, so I cannot buy the "Dalek collection" which contains "Genesis of the Daleks". Which is a bit sad.
Once upon a time they also have sold Eenemy of the World which I now have got on DVD.
I have no idea why they would not sell it over here? Since last years comic con I know that there are A LOT of Whovians over here... Maybe they make more money selling it on DVD? One is left wondering.

Thanks both! I think I may have stumbled on the answer: BBC and ITV set to launch Netflix rival www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-47383559I imagine a “BritBox” streaming service would have Classic Who!

Thanks both! I think I may have stumbled on the answer: BBC and ITV set to launch Netflix rival www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-47383559I imagine a “BritBox” streaming service would have Classic Who! I love how totally bias towards the BBC that article is: ‘The BBC, home to crime dramas Luther and Line of Duty, and ITV, maker of Love Island’. BBC makes award winning drama, ITV that reality show based around young people...erm shall we say ‘dancing’. Wonder how this’ll work in practice, given it said this new thing isn’t replacing iPlayer and ITV Player, but will co-exist somehow.

BritBox is here in North America and it’s wonderful. Not only does it have the majority of Classic Who, it has summaries of missing episodes. Plus a bunch of other great British shows.
